Hi,

You need to connect the jack plug into the MIC port (usually pink or red).

I have a packard bell computer. an d there is no one usb gate that works

I dont believe that Packard Bell's ever came with USB ports on them. You can purchase a USB card and install it into your computer to give you access to USB devices. You can try looking for a USB card on either Ebay or try here www.geeks.com

I hope this helps you out, if it does please give me a YES that I did try to assist you. Thank you

Need to buy Packard Bell keyboard relacement for S/N BCKB21006311: P/N 6837780001. Can you advise/?

Packard bell should be a standard PS2 keyboard, I would just get one at your local thrift store for a couple bucks. Look at the connector where it plugs into the tower and then just make sure the new one looks the same, should work good. Most modern keyboards are USB, but packard bell is old and may not work with this type. You could go find a new PS2 keyboard at a store but it will be about $20

Usb on packard bell function slow (type usb 1.0)

This is normal. USB 1.0 is a lot slower than USB 2.0...why are you using USB 1.0 on a system that has Vista x64? Is it because of the device? Change the device...

Unable to connect speakers to desktop

The monitor has integrated speakers. This means that there should be a headphone jack at the front or side of the monitor. You can plug your (amplified!) speakers into this jack, and it will bypass your monitor speakers.

Front usb connections

I finally found a solution, on a dead page in google cache only:
http://www.pcclub.com/forum/messageview.cfm?catid=27%26threadid=16567
The solution was posted by JontyBonkers.

The pins go like this:
1 2 3 4 5
_ 6 7 _ 8

1 = ground
2 = ground
3 = D1-
4 = ground
5 = D1+
6 = D2-
7 = D2+
8 = +5V

It seems that the case for those Packard-Bells had a small circuit board that divided the 5V line to both sockets.

D- are usually white, D+ - green, 5V - red, ground - black
