Panasonic TH-42PX60U HDMI stopped working

I unplugged the HDMI and plugged it back in while the tv was running. Now the port no longer works. Is there anything that can be done for it? Can something be reset for instance? Or is it that I have most likely fried my port?

It sounds like you did some good testing by taking your xbox to a friend's home and trying it with his TV and HDMI input. You can try a reset on your Panasonic TV and see if that restores the HDMI input functions. Note this will erase your programmed TV channels so you'd need to re-enter those.

  1. Unplug the TV for at least 15 minutes
  2. Plug it back in and you'll be prompted to go through the initial setup just like when the TV was new.
If after that you still have no HDMI function on any of the inputs, that would indicate the set needs some service by a technician.

Good luck.

Why are the HDMI ports on PN58C7000YFXZA are no longer working?

Try unplugging the cables and plugging them back in at both ends -- HDMI cables sometimes lose contact after a while. This is especially true if the wires are not supported close to the plug -- they can pull loose.

Another possibility: reset the TV to restore functionality. Simply unplug it from the power, wait a minute, and plug it back in.

If that doesn't solve the problem, the circuit board may have failed. Your set is a refurbished model, and it's possible that this is a recurring problem.

HDMI 1 and HDMI 2 no longer work on my TV. What can I do to repair this?

Sounds like you have a bad input board and it is only time before you lose three. If it is under warranty get it in otherwise start tracking down the part. Most of these are a plug and play device once the tv is apart.

Hdmi port stopped working on sony bravia KDL-32L4000, when I connect my ps3 or direct tv trhough hdmi cables I will just get a blank screen that will say no signal.

I have a Sony Bravia model KDL-46s5100 that had the same problem. All HDMI ports stopped working. I don't know why this works but unplug the TV for about 30 sec, then plug it back in and hold down the power button on the tv for 10 seconds. Like I said I don't know why this works but it worked for me. Good luck.

Is the HDMI port 2 work? Try to turn it off and turn it back on. If it is still not working then the HDMI ports have gone bad. You will need to replace the main board.
