Question about Yahoo Messenger
I CAN NO LONGER ADD PEOPLE TO MY "YAHOO MESSENGER" FRIEND LIST. I KEEP GETTING AN ERROR AND IT TELLS ME IT'S FROM THE SERVER. CAN YOU PLEASE HELP ME? IF YOU LIKE TO CONTACT ME BY PHONE MY NUMBER IS 978 212 5667 THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH AND I LOOK FORWARD TO HEARING FROM YOU. SINCERELY, ELVIRA SOUSA
Mr netanya connectivity with the yahoo server depends upon the load on that server at that particular time I'd suggest 2 things. Go to messenger preferences in the general category deselect the show messenger insider. secondly click on the icon of list box next to the long bar on which you type your friends id on top of messenger window below mail icon deselct address book

I have used Zak's nobuddy before - it has been updated to work with yahoo's newest protocols.
Test: (A) I have 2 yahoo ID's - I added each to the other:
(B) I use Yahoo Messenger version 126.96.36.1992
(C) I was invisible mode at all times on each ID
1 I then got this zak nobuddy to remove one from the other:
2 It worked (although it left no message - I was simply gone).
3 I then performed the normal add request - this too worked fine and I was added again as soon as ID2 accepted.
You say it's blocked from your contact list:
I would check from messengers menu bar
messenger/ preferences/ ignore list and see if your friends ID is in there.

Sounds like you have a Permissions issue.
Right click on the Messenger icon on the desktop
Make sure your user name is available is in 'Group or user names'
If not edit - make changes - apply - ok
