Question about Projection Televisions
SOURCE: RCA D56W20 picture problems
More information is required to properly troubleshoot this problem. How is your television connected when you are watching HD? Do you have HDMI for this, do you have a satellite or digital cable box? For analogue are you using regular coax antenna (cable TV), or are you going through a cable or satellite box?
This could be related to the aspect ration setting. perhaps you ahve changed your aspect ratio from 16:9 to 4:3 or some other setting. If you are connected via HDMI, then the digital signal may be "normalizing" your picture during HD, but reverting back to the other setting.
Check you video settings very carefully. HD televisions are very difficult to tweak properly.

SOURCE: no digital channels
This TV is not able to understand digital channels because its tuner is not able to find that band, it works only in analog channels. To be able to get HD channels is needed a decoder box that has digital tuner build in. for a tv to understand HD Channels with analog tuner is to us to try to speak at the same time different languages.

The cable to the antenna and another cable from the TV needed to be hooked up and THEN follow the directions that came along with the converter box.
Channel 3/4 and scan., be sure the antenna is strong enough.
There was no need to touch the DVD/VCR box.

SOURCE: Channels will not load; only finds one analog channel and 0 digital channels. It is not the cable. When I push channel up,I get DC03-1. I get only one picture on the set, a woman with a dog. That's it
try hooking up rabbit ears attenna ...then re scan channels also then should not be any analog channels only digital..... good luck

This is the digital board causing the problem, so replace that board or try this - the problem may be connections on the DNIE chip on the digital board, near the DVI connector at the back side of the board. Apply pressure to this chip. It is a BGA type (Ball Grid Array) that has pins underneath that contact points on the board. This is becoming common with high density ICs where external pin connections require larger size chips, tighter spacing, and geometries that are not efficient for the design of the chip. There are good reasons to use BGA, but they can be difficult to solder properly. Apparently, Samsung has had some issues with this chip. One solution is to try to re-flow the solder. I don't suggest this for anyone without the right equipment or trechnical expertise. It is very easy to heat the wrong parts or overheat the chip, board, or related parts. The board is encased in a metal housing with holes. Look for something that might fit between the chip and housing to put some pressure on the chip. A small bolt might fit between the chip and the metal housing above it. Fit it in, then push the edges of the housing down to where you can put the screws holding it all together back in. There will be significant tension on the bolt, with the larger hex head end standing on the chip and the tip of the screw fitting against the metal housing (bolt standing on its head on top of the chip). It will take a little pressure to get the screws back in, which is good, as it will use the housing like a large spring pushing down on the bolt, which will put a great deal of pressure on the chip. Simple solution if this is the problem.
