Try changing the default font Lotus Notes uses to one of the standard fonts (if you can, that is). For some reason Lotus Notes is using a bitmap font as its default, which it shouldn't be doing

Changing the default font size for Lotus Notes You can change the font size for the display of IBM® Lotus Notes® by changing your operating system fonts.
You can also set a user preference to change the size of the text used in data area of Lotus Notes. Do any of the following to adjust the font sizes:

Big font size

Type Change Window Colors and Metrics into your start menu, when the widow comes up your going to want to select icon as the item type. In order to adjust the font size change the value selected. Make sure you hit Apply, you may have to do this a number of times in order to get the fonts to the size you want. This will affect the size of the fonts in your OS (Windows), things like icons, right-click menus, Start Menu.... However if you want to change the size inside of other programs you will need to get inside of their individual settings.

Hope this helps.

Sounds like you are working with Word 2007 right? Here are the instructions for making the font what you want automatically when it starts up. From the Microsoft webpage: Set the default font
  1. If your document already contains text that is formatted with the properties that you want to use, select that text.

If you are starting from a blank document, go to step 2.

  1. On the Home tab, click the Font Dialog Box Launcher, and then click theFont tab.

  1. Select the options that you want to apply to the default font, such as font style and font size. If you selected text in step 1, the properties of the selected text are set in the dialog box.
  2. Click Default, and then click Yes.

Enlarge font on Quicken documents

Dear Sir

I am assuming that you are using Windows XP or VISTA at the moment. Go to display settings >> from there you have to change the DPI on the screen. This will change the overall font size throughout windows as it seems that this problem is because you have very high resolution.
