To select a two player mode make sure two or more wii-motes are connected to the system. When you start the game and select a song it'll prompt you to which players are going to play. Assign each controller to the desired player (some songs have the feture of having a 2 people choreography)
You could try wiping all pairings of the remotes and then repair them, that should solve the problem. To do this just hold the red button under the flap of the wii for at least 30 seconds. Then simply let go of it then press it once and press the red key under the battery compartment of the wii controller to pair them again
Do you play with the second controller before? If you not the second controller must "bind" to the console. Open the cover in front of the Wii and press the red button there and then press the red button on the controller.
Tried that, but the 2nd remote won't respond when we try to use it to pick second player. My question is why in the world would someone create a game that is sooooo difficult to play!? Picking two players with two remotes shouldn't be so hard to do!!!
HEY We just found the answer on this site! Thanks!
Take the back off the second remote. On the console, open the door and press the red button for about three seconds. On the back of the remote, in the battery compartment, press the red button for about three seconds. Press the "A" button on the second remote.
This will unlock the multiplayer mode. If you want more than one additional player, do this for all that you want to add. Each time you start the game you'll need to press the "A" button for each additional player.
Okay... first of all search google... second of all... call the company that makes the game and ask for them to send you one... I'm sure they will... third of all... buy the game again... Hope i helped if not SORRY!!!
I had the same problem and called Nintendo support. They had us unplug the wii console for 30 seconds, plug it back in and start the system back up. BEFORE pressing the A button on the health and safety screen, we needed to take the battery cover off of one remote, press the red sync button, then quickly press the sync button on the front of the wii console (in the front - you have to open the flap). Once the single blue light was on at the bottom of the remote, do the same with the other remote (press the sync button on it and then on the wii console). Then the second blue light should be lit on the second remote. Hope that helps!
