Question about Maytag Atlantis MAV9501E Top Load Washer
Maytag Atlantis Washer Model # MAV9501EWW In spin cycle I half to manually start it. When spinning it sounds like a jet engine (also like a dry bearing. I can stop the tub by hand and the jet engine like noise (also dry bearing like sound) stops.
I suspect a dry bearing but I need to know if threads on plastic nut between inner and outer tubs are left or right hand threads. If I remove this plastic nut will it give me access to the bearing?
How much does the bearing cost and do I need a puller to remove it?
Throw this machine out; it is a piece of junk. Transmission shaft is probably scored up so new bearings will do you no good. I cannot see your repyl due to some tech issue w/ the site, so it may be a day or so before I can reply again. Please leave feedback for me if appropriate. Thanks
