HI. the timer control module is experiencing difficulties. the advancement of the timer dial is crucial, and it must rotate in order to initiate proper cycle sequence. The timer motor is the culprit in this case, and the timer will need to be replaced.
A burned out heating element will show no continuity when measured
with a meter. Replace the element if found defective.
Most dryers have a thermal fuse, which burns out when the dryer
overheats, in which case the dryer will either not run at all or
stop heating. The fuse is usually located on the vent duct, inside the
dryer. A blown fuse will show no continuity when measured with a
meter. Before replacing the fuse, make sure the blower wheel is not
broken or clogged, and there is nothing blocking the venting.
Tiff...there is a switch which indicates that the door is open. Most units require that you push the start button on the timer panel to start/restart. You must have time set on the timer to direct the dryer to work.
Sounds like the motor relay is not functioning. Sometimes the motor will work if the button is pushed but will stop when the button is released. This is caused by a loose wire at the motor or a bad motor relay.
