It is the rear freewheel assembly causing the problem. if is fixable, but you have to be good with tools, the bicycle shop and the electric bike shop both said they couldn't fix it, but is is doable. 1. you need a special bmx tool that fits that back wheel, your local bike shop should have it in stock. 2. you need to remove the freewheel sprocket and disgard it along with the the bearings (make sure to unscrew the razor chain sprocket from the freewheel assembly and secure it for reuse). 3. either purchase a new freewheel sprocket for bmx wheel or remove one from a old bike (again you will a special tool for that). 4. screw the razor chair sprocket onto the new BMX sprocket (it goes on with the same 4 original screws, right over the sprockets. 5. Screw the freewheel back onto the rim now. tada its fixed.

My son's Razor MX650 Electric Dirt Bike charged all night. The light on the charger shows green but the light on the bike is yellow and the bike wont go at all. What would cause this?

Question edited to add full make model (what it is).
Question moved from 'Health and Beauty' Category.

Sounds like either the charger isn't providing power at the connector, despite the green light, or that there is a battery fault. Contact the maker in Warranty Returns or start testing with a multimeter.

??????????4 out of 5 stars.Ā· 2 years ago Great but......Back brake pads worn out within first 6 months as well as the battery. Second battery only lasted 4 months . HORRIBLE.. warranty I believe is like 30 days. Hard to replace battery. Literally have to take apart whole middle section of bike to remove it. Parts are extremely high in price.

The charger does not work. The red you are reading is from the dead battery or almost dead battery. Get another charger.

How do i adjust the chain on the mx650

The chain tensioner is on the right side of the bike a few inches or so in front of the tire on the rear swing arm all you do is adjust it up to tighten and down to loosen it.
