Thermador Wall Oven C301US Can't find High Limit Swtich

Hi Rotu,
I looked at your instruction to fix a thermador c301Us when the heat does not go on with you use the self cleaning. I can't find the ghigh limit switch. I am taken of panels by the control panel. But only see alot of wire. Nothing with a red button with wires coming out it. Can you tell me where in the oven it is.? This is my last option before I get a repair man.
Thanks so much.

SOURCE: After performing the self-clean on

The following website has the diagrams of your unit.
http://www.appliancepartspros.com/partsearch/model.aspx?model_id=233139&diagram_id=194244#d194244

Part #23 lists a Thermal Repair Kit, and might fix you up, but the website lists the part as unavailable. However, part #26 is the thermal sensor.
I've seen hi-limit switches, but couldn't run on down in the oven diagram. It might be on another diagram, if you look around.
The thermal sensor could be the bad component, and on on the right rear of the unit, looking from the front, guaging from the diagram.
Hope this helps.

What is error code F34 on the thermadore built in double oven

If your Thermador was manufactured between 2004 and 2007, this may be due to a recall issue. I kept getting this error on my Thermador wall oven when I would run the self-cleaning feature, and when heating it over 375 degrees. After doing some research, I discovered that my oven was recalled. Apparently there are gaps in the insulation which could cause a fire. You can find out more on the Thermador website: http://www.thermador.com/safety-notices/7_oven-safety-recall-notice-expanded

Likely to be the Hi Limit Switch or the relay/power board.

Thermador wall oven doesnt heat up after being self cleaned

This may be the thermal fuse mounted on the back panel or you may have a failed control. We rebuild Thermador control boards at www.fixyourboard.com

Thermador Oven won't heat after running self-cleaning cycle

SOunds like you need to reset the oven high limit switch. It should be located behind the grille obave the oven opening and below the control panel. There should be about 4-6 screws you need to take out to remove the grille to gain access. Turn the power of to the oven at the circuit breaker, then rech in with a screwdriver and push down on the little red button in the center of the hig limit until it clicks. the high limit should be about as big around as a quarter and have a wire going into one side and out the other. If this keeps tripping, you may have a bad cooling fan. When you run a self clean it should also run a fan to cool the components. You should be able to feel a breeze coming out of the bottom of the oven when the cooling fan (not the convection fan ) is running. If this fan doesnt run, it will trip that switch. Hope this helps!
