Kenmore Elite HE5t washer - Door is hard to open and close

To fix I would suggest cleaning all edges of the door and the seat (area in which the door rest). Use a finger and feel all edges to check for debris and or an irregularity. If none are found visually check the same edges for chipped or scatched paint that may indicate a point of contact. If none are found open the door and gently pull on it to see if it has play or movement. If a lot of movement is discovered then a new door or possibly a new hinge should do the trick.
