Question about Motorola Walkie Talkie 2-Way Radio

1 Answer

Almost inaudible handset because its so quiet.

One handset works absolutely fine. The other is almost inaudible because it is so quiet, although the functions and everything else is fine. These are new. Its not a debris problem. Could it be a dodgy speaker??

A speaker is the first suspect, the second is the speaker connection, the audio amp final ckt. Check for a lose wire, dirty connection, flux, a bad solder connection, ect on the main ckt Bd.

Check the handset phone cord make sure its properly plugged in at both ends, if still not working, try replacing it with one from another phone to check if that is the problem.

Hi,i have connected phono cables from mixer to anolog in on marantz dr4050 and from anolog out on marantz dr4050 to input on amp, there is no sound unless you turn levels to max and then it is very quiet...

So you're saying an unnamed mixer is feeding a potential analog signal to a CDR. You're monitoring the CDR output at an unnamed amp.

You haven't established that there is any signal to BE heard.

WHAT is the actual source sound device (BEFORE the mixer)? Is the source input visible on the CDR when it's in Record Mode?
Have you perused the manuals?

HI I bought z2300 in ukraine (volatge 250V) 4 years ago and it was working fine.but i brought back here to my home in malaysia there is absolutely no sound when i fix it to my laptop.Surprisingly the...

If the voltage system in Malaysia is 230AC then no problem. But if it is 110AC then there will be no sound. Check for audio click in the input green banana pin by touching with bare finger in the full volume control setting with the audio system. If audio click is present then sound system is okay. If not then, amplifier board circuit is to be checked of the sound system.

I think my phone has a handset lock, when i go to turn the hand set lock off it asks for my security code and although i know it i cant type it in as my handset is locked any suggestions??

If it is working fine do not touch it. Do something only if you are having problems, which you have not mentioned. American saying is "If it aint broke, dont fix it."

Simply can't register any of my 4 handsets with my BT Synergy 4100 cordless phone. All handsets indicate base is "unavailable" there isn't a fault on the line as I have tested it and I have gone over and...

Partial solution. The handsets may be registered to another base.

So go into handset setting, then select base, (select another base if there is one showing).

Then go through the handset registration procedure again.

All audible warnings are now inaudible

For Stormbrewin (clarification request about elzbieta22's problem posted Oct 23):

You wrote 'There is a fuse do you know where fuse box is?'

I reply: Yes. I know of 3 (one in each of the door post pillars and one in the central console). I have looked in the Jaguar manual and I cannot find a description of the fuse. I have been looking for something that describes it as 'Audible Warning fuse' or similar. It might go under a different description - I don't know. If you do know what it might be named as, I would be very grateful to you.

To place the handset in silent / vibrate mode follow the steps below: To place the handset in Silent Mode, hold down the pound key (#) for about 2 seconds. To exit Silent Mode, perform the same action while in Silent Mode. You will see a confirmation message for Silent Mode, each time you enter or exit Silent Mode. The phone will vibrate rather than ring when you receive a phone call, message or alert while in silent / vibrate mode.
