Question about Apple iMac G5 Desktop
My son was messy aroumd with my computer and now when i get to my desktop its all black and white. I've tried everything that I know how to do. I went to display and system prefernces and tried adjusting all the color settings and still nothing. Please help its very hard to see on this setting thanks Nacole
Black and white, like if you press apple-option-control-8?

Removing the video card is not the first step to take....check the video cable make sure no bent pins in case it was removed then make sure it is connected firmly, then open system prefrences, go to accesibility/universal access depending on the operating system, most likely it will be the latter.check the display area to make sure the grayscale option is not selected.*****try pressing command alt/option control and 8 at the top all togetther, look for the key with the apple this is command the two hold it and the two keys next to it and press 8, i am using an apple pro white keyboard if your using anything other than an apple pro black or white then the keys may be in a slightly differnet order, this is the kb shortcut for the option i mentioned earlier

Try to inspect the connector linking the monitor to pc. see if there are bended pins or probably broken pins. if not try to change the monitor just for testing and see if the problem still there. but if not, that means ur monitor is the problem. also try to remove the video card and reinstall it again to its slot.
