you killed it. your fridge has been trying to freeze the world and probably never switched itself off in the last week so either the fuse is blown in the plug or the compressor has packed in or even the overloaded current has broken some other electrical parts if the light or display comes on you have probably killed it.

Youll need to unplug and defrost all the ice from hte back panel, leave unplugged for a min of 24, hours, then plug back in you should be fine. way too much ice has built up behind hte inner panel ,cutting of all air flow to both compartments.you did no real harm( other then losing your food

GE refrigerator model #LTC19340ST freezer door not sealing

That is a common problem with over-under units. You can clean or replace the door seal or, tilt the unit back a TINY bit. The door pops open because there is a common airway from the freezer to the fridge. When the fridge door shuts too fast, it pushes a lot of air into the unit. It needs to go somewhere so, it pops the freezer door open. If you shut the freezer hard enough, you will be able to pop the fridge door open.

Hi do you notice any frost in the back of the freezer? If you do not this is a bad motherboard, I would recommend calling GE directly if under 5 years old they will fix at an extremely discounted price if it over 5 then the board costs about $175.00-200.00 to buy.

there is a air damper that lets the air in frome the freezer side,, it should be in the back top left corner on the fridge side turn the controls to off and listen you should hear a faint sound like a flap closing,, if not it is either stuck wide open, or the little motor has went out,,,( for a temp fix you can tape some of the opening off until you get the parts replaced

The magnets in the freezer door arent making good contact, try adjusting the front legs up to make the fridge lean back slightly

Ge Profile Stainless Steel Refrigerator panel replacement

You can replace the doors but you will think you bought a new frig when you see what they cost. Most come as an assembly and are very expensive.
