Buy a new one , not worth fixing. I have the same tv, with the same problem . It's getting old now and the price of a new one . It might cost $ 400-500 big ones to fix it . Thats half the price of a new flat screen , cheap model mind you . But I still think it's not worth it .

Hi, Unplug the unit from the outlet for at least 1 hour and check if the symptoms persists. If yes, check if the unit can give an error code by following the steps below. - Power on the unit and wait until the initialization takes place. - Press the front panel "Input" and "Menu" buttons at the same time and hold it for 5 seconds, it will activate the error code mode. LED flashes a two digit error code. Example, if the error code is "22" the LED will flashes two times pause and then flashes two times and will repeat the error code for 5 times. "12" means no error has occured. Please let me know what will be the result to assist you further. Regards,email@example.com
sounds like the power supply capacitors CP150, CP120 and CP114 need replacement. You can get the RCA repair kit by that same name from www.tvrepairworld.com which has the caps and the CD with repair instructions.
Ur power board have dead capacitors,Know how to solders?Take the tv aparts check for capacitors puff up or burst open in the power board.Replaced those capacitors.Or tries Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com buy a refurbih power board.
Make sure that no front panel buttons are inadvertently stuck in an "engaged" position.
Disconnect ALL devices from the TV.
Press the SYSTEM RESET button and hold for 10 seconds. Proceed if the problem still exist.
Press and hold POWER and MENU buttons simultaneously for 20 seconds. Proceed if the problem still exist.
Unplug the TV from it's power source for various times, ranging between 5 minutes and 24 hours.
If it still shuts down, press the DEVICE and MENU buttons on the front panel simultaneously and hold it for 5 seconds to activate the Error Code Operational Check. The status LED indicator will then flash denoting a two digit code.
Count the number of flashes then pauses for about a half second then flashes again. The first number of flashes indicates the first digit of the error code and the second number of flashes indicates the second digit of the code. For example, if the error code is "35", the LED will flash 3 times, pauses, then flashes 5 times. The error code is repeated a total of 5 times.
Please let me know the code you got and I'll tell where the problem lies and how to fix it.
Did the TV work but with a convergence eproblem before you changed the STK's.? If so it is very likely you have misplaced one of the several leads when reassembling the set. It is ususally a perfect cure. Power light flashing 4 times indicates this type of problem.
Here's something that might also be useful. After you turn on the set, and get the regular red blinky lights, hold down the Device and Menu buttons together for about 5 seconds.
The Power light will start to flash in a two digit sequence.
For example, 3 flashes, then 7 flashes = 37.
Here are the error codes, and the corresponding problem:
12 = No error detected, check power supply.
32 = Lamp Cover is open.
33 = Air filter cover is open.
34 = Lamp abnormality
36 = Light Engine (DMD or Lamp Fan stopped)
37 = Exhaust or Lamp Ballast Fan stopped
38 = Lamp Temperature High
39 = DMD Temperature High
41 = Short is detected
44 = DVI cable between FMT and Engine disconnected
