I am installing my new HP Photosmart C4400 All in One model C4480 It is scanning the allignment page but this has been scanning for over an hour. Is the normal or do I need to start over?

When you get there, select where you see "Operating System", select your operating system (ex: XP, Vista, or Windows 7). It will then show all the drivers for your operating system...scroll down until you see the Driver Product Installation Software 2 and then download and reinstall it. Make sure printer is compatible and re-install.

Check the following. Open your HP solution centre, settings,scan settings, Scan picture settings or scan document settings. on the right hand side youll get scan pic setting again and check the setting in that box. Check also settings print settings, printer settings, check here for print or scale size

try unistalling and customise install. And then install using your printer wizard. That way you dont have all the stuff you dont need installed.

Select your model. On the next page, select "Software & Driver Downloads".

On the next page select your operating system. This will take you to the download page to get drivers and other software as needed.

The printer should automatically create an alignment page when a new cartridge is inserted, however you can perform an alignment using the software
