Question about Sony PlayStation 2 (PS2) Console
I was wondering how do i get me mp3 player to play through my playstation 2 please help there must be a way to do it becouse it has 2 usb inputs
PLEASE HELP I WANNA PLA MUSIC THROUGH IT ON MY BDAY ITS IN LIKE TO WEEKS PLS
I do recall some time ago that action replay max or something like that had some sort of media player in it. I'm not sure how limited it is though in it's functions. I wouldn't use this method anyway. What i would do If i were you is softmod your PS2 then load an app called SMS(simple media system) then you can play pretty much w/e you want. MP3's Avi's etc etc.
You got a lot of work ahead of you, if you want to do this the correct way. You can prolly get away with using action replay max or some other code breaker like disk that has a built in media player in it. You may get lucky and you may not. Reason I say this is, yes there are usb ports, no they don't read every single usb device on the market. SMS is more current and updated and supports way more USB thumb drives n such then action replay max ever will.
Step 1: Either mod chip or softmod your PS2. Softmods don't require a chip and i put up a forum post on the subject http://www.carpenoctem.ws/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=13
A - Z with pretty lil pictures.
Step 2: Download SMS found .::HERE::. and add that to your memory card when you're making your saved game file (refer to my forum post to see what that means) Then launch your PS2 menu and load SMS and you'll be able to read your MP3's from a thumb drive that the firmware on your PS2 will support.
OR: roll the dice and spend money on a couple code breaker disks (with embedded media player) that may or may not work. The method I posted is guaranteed to work provided you own a FAT PS2 and not the SLIMLINE. If you own a slimline model then you have ZERO choice but to try the codebreaker like disks with embedded media player.
Hope that helps,
