Standing water in dishwasher

Good Afternoon friend, thank you for your post!

I understand that you have some standing water inside of your Frigidaire dishwasher. It is a normal operation to have anywhere from 2 to 3 inches of water inside of the tub of your dishwasher. If it is anything more than that you could have an issue with the drain pump or drain line.

You may want to check the drain line for any restrictions or clogs that could cause improper siphoning from your dishwasher. You should also make sure that the filter located in the bottom of your tub is clean, that could cause water to stand within your dishwasher. I hope this information is helpful. -Matt

Dishwasher won't drain completely. Several inches of standing water left after last cycle

Sounds like the wash/drain selector valve might be stuck. my Kenmore operating solenoid rusted and hung up. I cleaned and oiled it up. You can also have something that got into the valve and it won't close, or an obstruction in the drain hose or the drain pipe connector. Something is restricting the flow or the pump itself may have a bad impeller. Does it wash with vigor or has it lost a little oomph and sound different? Does it leave any debris on the dishes?

I have standing water in bottom of GE GSD 666 dishwasher. I pressume I need to clean screen/filter? How?

I have the same problem, same model GSD660G0322. Have an inch or two of standing water. When I run the drain pump in Service mode, it successfully clears the water. How do I access the filter to clean?

Same problem. 2-3 inches of water left in the dishwasher at end.

Inspect for plugged drain screen. Sometimes you have to take apart the bottom area for access...

JET TECH/model F18/small amount of water stays in bottom.Wont fill or cycle but water runs.

Hello,

It is normal to have 4 or 5 inches of water inside the dishwasher unless you remove the stand-pipe (located inside, front right side). This pipe should be removed at least once a day and the dishwasher should be drained. Don't forget to turn the power off first.

GE dishwaher leaks with standing water in bottom

Check to make sure regular dish soap did not end up getting inside the dishwasher. This will create a lot of suds that will overflow onto the kitchen floor. Standing water from not draining can mean the drain hose is clogged somewhere or the check valve has something caught in it. If you remove the front kick plate, you will be able to check those.

Dishwasher tap off

We've always left ours on until the wash was complete as there are a few times throughout the cycle that need water.
