SHX33A05UC Dishwasher gurgles and continues to run... Won't stop

We left the house Thanksgiving day at 3pm and started the dishwasher. We returned at 9pm and the dishwasher was still running and gurgling. The soap dispenser had opened and all the soap was gone and the dishes appeared to be clean, but the gurgling noise will not stop. I turned it off with the switch and every time I turn it back on... gurgle. The dishwasher had no water in it but the dishes appeared to be clean.

I have a SHX56B dishwasher (Bosch) It drains but the pump will not stop running! and it will not start the wash cycle?

Most likely developed a leak at the wash motor. Take bottom off and see if water is in the plastic base.

The left side (behind the metal side panel)of your machine has a blue and yellow mechanism which regulates the level of water for your machine(if there is no big yellow disk at the top of the mechanism then your machine is time fill). It also has a built in safety that if water should enter the white pan on the bottom, the drain pump will activate and stay on. It sounds like the machine problem has to to with water and flow level. You can observe the filling and running of your machine with the side panel off. (the connections at the switches on the float assembly are live be careful)

2. pressure switch is jammed on..build up in the sensing chamber..common..or switch faulty...rarely
3. if water is in the bottom panel most have a flood switch which automatically operates the pump in case its over filling

To remove the Outer Door, open the door and remove the
six T-20 Torx screws located three on each side of the Inner
Stainless Door, Fig. 7-1.
Return the door back to its upright position, and bring the
bottom of the Door Panel out toward you, then slide the top of
the panel down and out from under the Facia Panel, Fig. 7-2.
As the Outer Door is being removed, the left or right Door
Guards may shift or fall out of place, Fig. 7-3.
To reposition them, slide them back in over the hinge, Fig. 7-4,
lining up the door guard square tab with the hinge lever
square notch.
Please note: Door Guards must be in place before
reinstalling the Door Panel. Door Guards are
not used on SHI or SHV models.
Once the Outer Door has been removed the following components become visible.
1. Dispenser Assembly
2. Condensation Tube
3. Upper Wiring Harness
4. Door Guards
5. Door Seal
6. Bituminious Insulation
7. Cloth Fiber Insulation
Also note the Toe Kick, item 8, and the Toe Kick Mounting Screws, item 9.
The Dispenser Assembly operates via a PTC
Actuator (wax motor), item 1.
When voltage is applied to the Actuator it
advances a Combination Lever, item 2.
The Combination Lever allows the Soap Door to open,
and later in the cycle dispenses the Rinse Agent.
To remove the Actuator, first disconnect the
Wiring Connector. Then, using a small
screwdriver, release the locking tab….
…and bring the Actuator out from the Dispenser.
Please note: The Combination Lever cannot be
replaced individually, but only as
part of a new Dispenser Assembly.

Stopped in mid cycle and wont restart

Hi....I think I can help you with this. I checked a troubleshooting site for Crosley dishwashers, and there could be a couple of reasons why the cycle stopped:
1. The thermal fuse shuts off power to the dishwasher if it overheats. If the thermal fuse blows, it will prevent the dishwasher from starting. To determine if the thermal fuse is defective, use a multimeter to test the fuse for continuity. If the thermal fuse does not have continuity, replace it.
2. The door switch prevents the dishwasher from running while the door is open. If the door switch is defective, the switch will prevent the dishwasher from running even when the door is closed. To determine if the door switch is at fault, use a multimeter to test the switch for continuity. If the switch does not have continuity, replace it.
3. The door latch ensures that the dishwasher door latches shut. If the door does not latch properly, the door switch might prevent the dishwasher from running. If the door latch is broken, replace it.
You can also find more related troubleshooting here:

You'll need the model number for your particular dishwasher.
I hope this has helped you.

Dishwasher starts but won't run through entire cycle.

See my problem and solution. Sounds like you, too, are having a problem with the main control board (computer chip that controls the dishwasher), which is apparently a common problem with this model dishwasher. The part can be found here, for $211 (tax + shipping), and they have a 30-day return policy in the event that it does not fix the problem. It's an easy DIY fix. Hopefully this helps!

The dishwasher did a full cycle three days ago yet today it is just beeping and making gurgling noises now and will not start Any ideas as to what the problem might be

Check whether the water flow to the machine is OK. Try adding water
to the wash chamber manually and run the cycle. If the noise stops
it must be air trap. The machine should complete the wash also after this.

Still the problem continues the water pump to be checked.

Gurgles with no water coming in; keeps trying to run with door open.

Hello,

Welcome to FixYa.

When the door is opened do the lights all flash, or are the flashing regardless if door is open or closed ?

Based on your description I`d suspect the unit has sensed an overfill problem...the flashing "LED`s" is how the Asko indicate this scenario.

The gurgling is simply due to the drain pump being on continuously.Though you say the machine is empty, the overfill basin may be full of water.

**Turn off the power to the unit via the house breaker before attempting any repairs or service**

If you remove the toe panel/kick plate below the door, check to see if the basin is full of water or has any sign of water being present. If left several days it will typically evaporate and appear to be normal again...until it overfills again.

There are other factors which could cause this of course, including a faulty pressure switch, but we can go down that path once you inspect the overfill basin for water.

Good luck.

Dishwasher pump keeps running

This is caused by a water leak into the base pan,it will trigger the anti flood and the machine will continously drain out even with the door open, you need to establish what is leaking,if you leave the appliance standing for a few days it will start again as the water will evaporate however if the fault returns you will definetly have aleak on the appliance which will require further investigation.

Can you explain the issue in detail - is your dishwasher not working at all, or the buttons continue to be lit up, etc?

First and foremost, check the dooe switch to see if it is functioning properly.

If you are still trying to sort out this issue try the following.

From what you say then it is most likely the aqua sensor on the side of the dishwasher. The gurgling sounds that you hear are likely the drain pump running and the un-drainable water sloshing in the sump.

Verify that there is actually water going to the dishwasher( Basic step but often overlooked)

Next the inlet valve will have to be checked. This is the part where the water line from the house connects to the dishwasher, under the toe/kick panel. Remove power from the dishwasher. Disconnect the dishwasher electrical connections (2 wires) to the inlet valve and connect it (carefully to 110 V power) using a jumper wire. With 110V power the valve should open and water will flow into the dishwasher, if not then the fault is in the inlet valve.

If this checks fine then the fault is likely in the aqua sensor...

On the outer left side (viewed from front) there is a panel, Behind this panel there is a small clear(of light blue) plastic mechanism with hoses and wires attached( There is usually a yellow disk at the top about 6cm in diameter) this is a float and sensor assembly there is tells the control the water level and works as an emergency drain if there is an issue. There will be a red stick protruding downward to the base and a Styrofoam float on which the stick rests. This is a pan overflow sensor if the stick is too high the unit will go into drain and cut off the fill valve power. The yellow disk is a diaphragm which senses water height. This unit can become stuck with wear and hard water.
