Re: no power to dishwasher
Start by checking for loose or melted wires under the dishwasher underneath in the "junction box". if the wires arent melted and the plice is ok. then you may need to look for the thermal fuse by the control board. make sure your breaker isnt tripped. go and turn it all the way off then back on.
A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

Blinking lights would stop and should be able to use your dishwasher normally.
If the light is still blinking try and reset the power to the dishwasher and
try again. If still the light is blinking then check for the connections on the
keypad, it may be due to moisture or shorted connections on keypad.

Hello- This series MDB7130 is involved in a recall. Check Maytag website for details. If affected, they will offer 75$ toward a new maytag.... or a free service call to 'retrofit' a new wiring harness. These units have caused a number of fires so disconnect power until issue is resolved.- Let me know if this info helps. Thanks- Ed
Thanks for using FixYa.
Dishwasher not draining properly or not draining at all issues can arise due
to different reasons. Usually, these issues are related to kinked hoses,
knocked out disposer unit (if connected with the dishwasher drain hose) &
clogged drain pump & filter.
Also note that dishwashers do not
drain completely after a finished cycle and this is normal. Dishwashers are
designed to leave some water in the unit to ensure that the heating element
doesn’t overheat. If you suddenly begin to experience a large amount of water
being retained in your dishwasher, you have a problem. Some of the most common
reasons include that the drain hose isn’t working properly, the drain pump
isn’t working correctly, or possibly there is a plumbing problem in your home’s
First check whether the drain is
not clogged or blocked and the line is not kinked. Check all the hoses for
blockages & also clean the air gap. Has the disposer been replaced
recently? If so, chances are the knockout is still in place. Simply remove the
drain hose from the disposer, and knock out the plug. If the disposer has not
been replaced, try removing the drain hose from the disposer and use a wet-dry
vacuum (prepared for water, of course) to **** any water (and hopefully anything
else) from the drain line. Then reconnect the hose, and test the unit. If you
have checked the air gap and the drain hose and can’t locate the problem, then
it is an issue with the drain pump of the dishwasher.
Please do rate the solution and revert for further
I just had a similar problem with a GE Triton. Suddenly the lights on control panel went wacky and it wouldn't start. I don't know if this will help you but try disconnecting the power source and wait a bit (this involved turning off the circuit breaker to d/w in circuit box). It cleared up the problem with the control panel and d/w just finished a good cycle. Hope this helps you. It was Step #1 on another site and they said there that this will allow the "computer" to re-set.
Hello I am V- Mari and i own a Kenmore dishwasher model Number 587.1574590 and it doesn't work at all. The power light comes on and it seems to make noise, but it does nothing. Is there a recall for these models or free fix help please respond to firstname.lastname@example.org. I would like to solve my dishwasher problems as soon as possible. Thank you!
My MDB7100AWQ has suddenly stopped working. It will fill but then stops and will not move into wash. When I press the drain/off button the lights work but it does not drain. I do hear a switch in the door operate when I press the drain/off.
on a dishwasher an ohmmeter is almost useless. the best way to check is to look for voltage. at the door switch check for voltage to ground on both sides. if you have 120 on both sides of the switch then follow the wire over to the control board. if you have 120 going into the control board and nothing coming out of the control then you nood to start looking for a broken neutral. however the likelyhood that its the control panel may be a better idea especially if you are hitting buttons and nothing happens. try reseating any ribbon cables
