the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

I have Vista for Business on a computer. Suddenly the log on picture shows on the screen, but the computer says the user information is unavailable and won't let me log in!

This sounds like a failed update. Restart the computer and hit either F2 or F8 or possibly Tab or Delete once the splash screen comes up. This should give you a windows startup option for safe mode. Click Safe Mode with Networking and let the computer startup. This will bypass all current startup items and possible problematic services. Login and start up Task Manager. View startup items and look to see if anything is starting up that says "Windows Update" or if anything else stands out that shouldn't be there. Names that are random garbled letters, etc. Disable these for normal startup. Now click on control panel under start menu and go to windows update and see if any updates failed to install. If they did, disable install automatically in windows update.

After this go to "run" and type in msconfig. Click normal startup, hit apply, when the message that says "restart computer" pops up click yes and let it restart the computer normally.

If I diable com surrogate will it harm my computer

Com surrogate is a service that allows switching on the com ports. Without it, communication to your devices will stop. If you're encountering this error there is a driver problem with your com port controller and you need to install the correct drivers.

How do I remove unwanted pop ups?

Internet pop-ups can be an annoyance. These windows are usually associated with different forms of advertisements and at times can include viruses that can infect the computer. Pop-ups do not have to be a part of computer use if the user does not desire this distraction. There are ways to stop pop-ups and prevent them from appearing unless desired. Pop-up blocker allows the user to block these items and select which items to allow.

Open Internet Explorer. Click "Tools" from the menu bar. Tools can be found on the bar that lists "File, Edit, View, Favorites, Tools, Help" directly beneath the address bar. Click "Internet Options" from the "Tools" menu. Click the "Privacy" tab in the "Internet Options" box. Click to check the box that says "Turn on pop-up blocker" in the "Pop-up Blocker" section of the menu. Click "Apply" to save changes. Click "OK" to close the "Internet Options" box. The computer will now block all pop-ups from websites. If downloading items from the Web, the computer will ask whether you would like to allow these items to be opened. Hope this helps.

Upadting automaticaly

First of all, try to do a manual update by going here (Microsoft update)
There is some malware that will cause this to happen to your computer. Have you noticed that your web browser is sometimes redirected or you can't connect to certain websites?
I recommend you go to and download and install their free anti-malware program. Update it and then run it to scan your system. Choose to fix any problems it finds, and then reboot your computer.
If you have problems downloading or installing it, write back with a description of what happens.
Then download and run the ATF cleaner available for free here. It will safely clean out your temp files. Just check off select all and press the Empty Selected button. If you use firefox or opera run those too.
Then reboot again and see how it feels.
Go to control panel and enable your update for automatic updates, and go to the windows update site and download and install all available critical updates.
Report back and let us know how it goes.

I hope this information allows you to resolve this issue. If you need further assistance, please post back with a comment to this thread. If I've managed to answer your question or solve a problem, please take a moment to kindly rate this post....thanks!
