Network printer connected to di-520 router

I have ad-link di-524 router and is using i to reach the nternet from various computers. They al use the wireless connection. I installed a network printer (CLP-300N) and connected it via cable to the di-524.
The problem is that it is not possible to print to.
I bought a twisted cable and tested to connect it directly to a computer and it worked fine. The IP on the printer is static.
I have also tested the cable and it works fine when I surf the net.
What do I do next?

First of all, let's look in the same manual.

If you've not given the Samsung an IP address in the same domain as your router, then insert your Samsung CD and let it discover the printer. Then complete the instructions by giving it a name and IP address (I usually use 192.168.x.120-125 so I know where they are in all sites). Now you can use the Samsung software or manually configure the printer by using TCP/IP as outlined in page 15 of the manual. It's pretty straightforward as long as you remember that it's not a network printer when you use TCP/IP and you have to both delete any failed attempts of installation and don't let the software "find your printer automatically".

Hope this gets you up and running.

Do you see you missed a digit in the printer, or is that a typo? The printer should match, and please pick another number like 120, not 20. You should pick out an address that your router will never give out.

No, that's perfect. Does the Samsung discovery software tool work when you run it, or does it fail to find any Samsung stuff? Maybe there is a patch for it, and are you running this on a Vista box or XP? I'd try the XP first, although I just ran it on my Vista laptop and it seemed to install perfectly (alas, my 300 is not an N).

One other thing. This might save you from beating your head against the wall

Get version 2.21. It is simple to run and performs an IP scan of your network. You put in the numbers to scan from ports 1 to 254 and it pings everything in that range and gives you a graphic report. If your printer is there and your Samsung discovery CD can't find it, look for a firewall issue.

How can I connect the ps3 to a wireless router di-524?

First, you need to configure the wireless adapter inside the D-Link router:
* set an SSID -- the "name" of your network
* set an encryption-level -- use 'WPA' or 'WPA2'
* set a password for your network.

Then, enter the SSID and the password on the PS3, to connect to your wireless network.

Well.. i try connecting through the but i wont get through to the config site

What do you mean??? the password do not work??? the configuration page do not appear???

First is your computer is connected to the DI-524 with a wire??? or not???, there could be a 1000 things that can prevent you to reach the configuration page of the router....

Check network connectivity first (wires, IP address, etc...) never try to configure a wireless router from the wireless connection, (always from the wired connections)

I don't think you can disable the wireless but you can prevent people accessing your wireless network.

Alternately you can connect your computer to your DSL or cable modem without using the D-Link.

I have di-524 d-link wireless router, my router not giving me wireless connections

If you connect the computer to the router with the cable , does it work?
If yes then the wired connection is working.

What is the Operating system on the laptop or the wireless computer ?

If it is XP then in the bottom right hand corner you will find Wireless network connection ( looks like 1 computer monitor). Use that icon to connect to the wireless network.
If it is windows Vista, then in the bottom right hand corner you will find 2 computer monitor icon. Use that icon to connect to the wireless network.
If it is Windows 98/ME/2000 then use the adapter utility to connect to the wireless network.
For MAC you will see the AIRPORT icon at the top.

Check the wireless settings of the router first . Make sure that you have all the wireless settings of the router. If you are not sure about the settings, then open the router set up and check the settings.

Trying to connect d-link di-524 to computer

It's because now you have a new "boss"(the D-link) on your network that wants to hand out IP addresses that are out of range for Internet connectivity.

DI-524 wireless router as wireless switch

You need to disable the DHCP server on your "slave" wireless router ( the di-524 ). In D-link routers this might be called configuring it to be an "Access point".

When this happens, connecting to the second wireless router should cause your computer to obtain an IP address which is in the range of the first router (that is to say, it will use the first router's dhcp server).

You should be able have your laptop connect with an automatic IP address and have it work.

Are you using this D Liers just to connect sitenk routers just to connect sites A & B? Sorry for all these questions, I am trying to picture your network before attempting a solution for your needs.
