Re: operating system not found
Unfortunately the mot common reason for 'operating system not found' is a failed or corrupted hard drive. You need to go into your BIOS menu and see if your hard drive is recognized by the computer. When booting up push F1 and enter the BIOS menu. Go to the menu item for boot up or start up and see if your hard drive is recognized. If your hard drive is recognised then it may be salvageable by booting from a recovery disk or reinstalling windows from a CD. If the drive is not recognised in the BIOS, you have a dead hard drive or maybe just a bad connection. More help can be found on the Lenovo website site and the Forum at that site.

If you are using a Windows Vista operating system, this is what you can do:
1. Ensure that you are connected to the Internet and that you know the model number of your laptop. 2. connect to the HP website through the link http://h20180.www2.hp.com/... 3. After selecting your laptop model, click on Software & Drivers Downloads 4. Hence, choose your operating system (in this case it is Vista). 5. Choose the software update file that you need and follow the instructions. please do let me know if u using XP os.. cheers!!

Please try downloading the GeForce for Notebooks driver for your relevant Operating System. You did not mention whether you run Windows XP, Windows Vista, or whether it is 32 bit or 64 bit - you need to know this.

How did you do it? I've never heard of a way a customer could copy all his C drive (including Windows) to another drive. I suspect what you've accidently done is to move some some of the important files including the boot.ini. To get this back to normal you'll need to do a Windows system repair or reinstall.
I understand that you need windows 98 drivers for your Notebook.
I have searched the HP website and found the drivers for the following operating systems.
Microsoft Windows 2000 Microsoft Windows XP Home edition Microsoft Windows XP Professional Microsoft Windows Vista Home Microsoft Windows Vista Enterprise Microsoft Windows Vista Business
But not for Microsoft Windows 98...
Windows 98 is considered to be obsolete now. As far as I know no one will provide drivers for this model Notebook for Windows 98. Please install atleast Windows 2000 in the Notebook for the drivers to work correctly.
For other operating system drivers other than Windows 98 could be found in the following link..
first of all you will have to format your laptop cause when you have vista u cant install xp with it u will have to install xp first and then install vista about the driver u will have to do some settings in cmos setup and will have to change hdd type that will solve your driver problem so first install xp and then install vista regarding drivers for xp u will have to visit hp website and chat with a online technical person and ask him to mail you the link for drivers for xp
