Question about Audio & Video Receivers

1 Answer

Hey,there are no sounds coming out of my laptop. Under the "device manager" - "sound, video and game controller", I can choose any of the devices available and it shows that this device is working properly. Under the sound and audio devices in the control panel, it shows "no sound device". I do not understand what is going on; my device was working properly yesterday, but now there is no sound.

No audio sound coming out

Of your computer, portable device? What exactly? If it's your computer...and assuming it's a desktop with external speakers, i would first be sure to check all the power and audio connections between the speakers and the computer. secondly, or if it's a laptop, i would check my drivers and sound manager settings to ensure i had the proper 'audio device' selected. if all of the above are true, then maybe I would cehck the hardware, but not until after I double checked the above for cost management reasons. Hope this helps

I'm going to guess, though, that your audio drivers are either nor installed or not working. Go to Control Panel --> Hardware and Sound --> Device Manager, and look under Sound, video and game controllers acn check if the sound devcie is working properly if not reinstall driver....

Hope that helps.......

My audio is not working the problem is in the realtek AC'97 audio for via r audio controller

Things you can try; right click on speaker icon at lower right of screen in task bar, is there a red x on it? Click on playback devices. you dhould have "realtek' or "hd sound device", etc.. You should have a green check on left side and power bars on right. Right click on device, and you should see "disable". If you see "enable" click on that and exit. Right click on devoce again and click on "open sound mixer" and adjust your volume. You can also try ; clixk "start" find and click on "control panel". In your list (icons) click on "device manager", open and click on continue. Click on the box with + next to "sound audioand game controllers". You shpuld have a drop down with your device. Right click on it and you should see "disable". If you see "enable",click on that and exit. Right click on it again and click on "properties" tab. You should see "this device is working properly". Go to your speaker icon back in desktop and adjust your volume.
I could be of more service if you provide more details about your problem. It sounds like you have a VIA chipset with Realtek audio. If I can help you further let me know.

How can i enable the sound of my computer?

Start>Control Panel>(Sounds, Speech, and Audio Devices>)Sounds and Multimedia (or Audio Devices)

In here go to Audio (tab at the top). On the sound playback device select, "Volume." Move the main audio playback slider up to increase the volume.

If for some reason there are no audio devices listed in the Sound control panel (unlikely), there is a possibility that your audio ports have been disabled (again, unlikely).

Go to your device manager by right-click My Computer (Either located in your start menu or on your desktop) and go to Properties. Now select, "Hardware." In here click the button, "Device Manager."

The device manager should appear. Look at, "Sound, video, and game controllers." If anything in this category is listed as disabled try enabling it, then exit the device manager.

No sound from microphone input or line input. says this device is working ok.latest drivers from driver detective. Aspire m3100 with win xp.All controls blanked out.

go to control panel / sounds and audio properties/( can you move the volume button?) if so then click the advanced button there and then on that window click options then properties then select the recording button and make sure that the microphone box is checked and anything else that you want to use for recording then click ok and select the microphone when the window comes up with the volume controls and check boxes for each device that you want to choose from to record( only one device can be selected

hope this is worth a fixya as all other ratings hurt our scoring

My laptop sound is deleted

If the software is not installed,Try reinstalling software,
If the device is faulty then only course of action is replace device with new device.
Also You can use a external usb sound card,
just load software that comes with the new device and external speakers.
Have you checked device manager to find out if there are conflicts?
Do you have SP2 Updates installed?
