Worcester 24i boiler..how do i re-ignite the pilot light??

Overheat thermostat has tripped. If a modern Worcester need to press reset on control panel.

If older style Worcester - Pull front cover off the boiler (just above control panel flap pull the cover from both sides forward to unclip and then lift upwards to remove cover) and you will see a little brown reset button - press this back down.
However the over heat thermostat trips for a reason - was the system running on low pressure? It could be the pump is sticking a bit (dirt in the system) which can be sorted easily by adding an additive (DIY packs available at Home-base) . Or it could be the pump has completely gone. If this is the case it will trip again as soon as the boiler clicks back on.

We have a Worcester Bosch Highflow 400 (10 year old) combi boiler. Over the last few weeks when we have put on the heating the boiler kicks in and fires up and the heating comes on (the water comes on fine...

The by pass pipe may be limed up. This apparently causes a reduced flow which will stop the heating side of the thing working. Call out Worcester Bosch engineer. It costs £210 including VAT and most parts and they almost guarantee to get it working.

Both inside and outside units did not come on in cool mode

hi there,
thermostat located on your evaporator is adevice where in if temperature set up is acquired the power source will cut off until on specific time that when small heat absorbed thermostat will activate again or this auto activated.meaning there is a differtianl temperature acquited to run this device.this depent how you set up your temperature setting.the over load protection device located mostly on control panel is one tripping off.this is the device you have to reset in order to run the unit again if malfunction., if short circuited or highr current occured on compressor this device protect your motor to burn it will trip off your unit.several factors you can consider in tripping unit, fan motor not running, dirty evaporator and condenser, loosen wiring connection and faulty wiring.sometimes circuit on panel board are envaded by insect mostly ants they need heat for there egg to hatch, they davastated the circuit.check on this.have a nice day don't forgert to rate me thank's.

Clock on comi boiler

it may be the preheat setting on the boiler for the hot water circuit. do the radiators get hot when the boiler fires up with the time clock off ? if not then there is nothing to worry about if it is only on for a short time.

Domestic oil fired central heating. Keeps tripping out with no oil feed(has tiger loop and this is empty) If oil is drawn through filling tiger loop again boiler will fire up and run for betweeen 2 days...

many times the feeder tube from the bottom of the tank becomes perforated. the return tube is ok most of the time . try switching the 3 8 tubes from inlet to outlet and see if problem resolved. if so the the tube down into the tank is flawed.

My Central heating wont come on. There doesnt seem to be any lights on the boiler/burner. Why could this be. First time I've tried to turn it on this season...it was fine back in february. Thanks!

Is the switch off?

Check the fuse panel/breaker box.

Is the thermostat switch set to heat?

Is system oil heat? If so check the following...

Some systems that use oil have an emergency switch (sometimes with a red plate) located away from the unit usually the basement staircase.

The oil systems also have a heat element above the burner on ceiling that "trips" if there is excessive heat. This shuts everything down so as not to feed a possible fire with oil.

Check the gun (burner itself) and try and locate a little red reset switch located near the back side of gun. Try pushing it in to see if its tripped.

If these quick checks don't help then it would be wise to call a technician to check your system for issues. Heating systems are too critical to "play" with and problems are best left to the pros for safety's sake. Good luck, I hope this helps.

I have a vitodens 100-w combi boiler and tried to turn the heating on just to give it a working as was advised. However, I have no heat coming to my radiators. The boilers seems to be working as my hot...

Here's the deal: If your Vitodens 100 has outdoor temperature sensing capability, either built in or via external aftermarket control such as Tekmar or other, and the temperature outside is above warm weather shut down (WWSD), then the boiler will not operate for space heating, but will operate to make Domestic Hot Water (DHW) only. Generally speaking WWSD is facoty set at 20*C, since this is normal room temperature so the boiler will not need to operate at temperatures above this number as it is warm enough outdoors to heat the house to comfortable levels.
If your Vitodens 100 does not have outdoor temperature sensing capability then you should check to see if your room thermostats are operational and calling for heat since the boiler is only responding to this on-off control based on room temperature. (turn up your room thermostats)
In both cases you need to make sure that your heating system's distribution pump and zone valves are operating correctly.
In any case you should be calling a heating contractor if you suspect that there is a problem with your boiler and/or heating system.
Good luck.

Sounds like if this is a heat pump, maybe it tripped out on high pressure. Maybe just unplugging the system may reset the control boards. This maybe due to a dirty filter or dirty evaporator coil.
