Whirlpool 6th Sense AWM8123/1 error code FH

The washer has just had new brushes fitted & is now diplaying error code FH - which I understand to be no water in the machine. since the brushes were fitted one successful wash cycle has taken place. The next cycle has displayed the error message - I have managed to get the door open & the washing is wet - any ideas what the problem may be?

Many thanks

Hi Most washing machine timers are digital or mechanical. The timer controls most of the operations of the washer: water level, tub filling and emptying, length of cycles, and cycle setting sequences. For this reason, any repairs to the timer should be made by a professional service person. However, there are a couple of checks you can make when you suspect the timer is faulty -- you may be able to install a new timer yourself.

Step 1: Unplug the washer. To access the timer, remove the control knobs and the panel that covers the controls. This may be a front panel, or access may be through a panel at the back of the unit. Carefully examine the wires that connect the timer to the other parts of the washer. If the wires are loose or disconnected, try pushing them into position; they usually fit into their terminals like plugs. Use long-nosed pliers to avoid breaking the wire connections -- never pull a wire by hand.

Step 2: To test the timer, use a VOM set to the RX1 scale. Disconnect the power leads to the timer and clip one probe of the VOM to each lead. The VOM should read zero if the timer is working. Since the timer is a multiple switch, turn it through its cycle and test each pair of terminals in turn. The meter should read zero at all of these points. If one or more readings are above zero, the timer is faulty and should be replaced.

Step 3: To replace the timer, unscrew and disconnect the old one. Install a new timer made specifically for the washing machine. If there are many wires on the timer, have a helper hold the new timer next to the old one as you work. Disconnect the old wires one at a time, connecting each corresponding new wire as you work, to make sure the connections are properly made. Or, draw a diagram showing the connections before removing the old timer. After all the wires are connected, check the connections again for correctness and screw the timer assembly into place.thank u....please rate it

Can anyone tell me what F06 error code means on the whirlpool 6th sense 10kg washer? and what to do about it as the screen is flashing but the door to the machine is locked. Thanks

F06 Drive motor tachometer error This error occurs when the main control unit fails to detect the motor speed from the tachometeric generator fitted to the motor either through an incorrect resistance or the tacho is not correctly fitted into place. The machine will try to detect the reading several times before aborting the program ans shutting down with this error being displayed.
When checking ensure that the drive belt and belt tension are okay as this can cause this error.
  • Check tacho resistance
  • check tacho placement
  • Check wiring for shorts
  • Check wiring harness connections between motor and main controller
  • Check drive belt for damage and tension

Whirlpool 6th sense wont start cycle

I have the same problem. Look at the previous post, it seems to be the motor brush worn out. I've opened up the machine and checked. The carbon brush remains very little. I am trying to find out a replacement brush

F 12 whirlpool 6 th sense washing machine.

hello,

simple ,The "F 12" error code is an indication of a water temperature sensor error. There is a chance that there is a loose wire connection on the water temperature

what you need to do to fix up your washer is to check on the wiring connection from the power supply to the water temperature indicator.

thank you and thanks for using fixya.

My Whirlpool 6th sense washer displayed f09 so I left it. next day it seemed OK but does part of the wash and comes up with FA

Thank you for your response. I finally managed to contact someone at Whirlpool who advised that the error code FA indicates a component problem and may require a replacement part. Unfortunately a serviceman is required.

We have a whirlpool 6th Sense AWM 6145/3 which has just started stopping during the wash cycle and on the digital display the letters F H come up. We rent our property and have moved several times and have...

FH is the code for no water flowing in...

is there water flowing in?

if there is none, the water solenoid is the problem,

if there is water going in, then the flow switch is the problem.

here is the transcript from the web..

FH ERROR CODE

No water detected entering machine or Pressure switch trip not detected.
If after 30 seconds the control does not detect water entering machine and then valves
will be turned off and the error code will be displayed.
Or
If the control has turned the water valves on and after 8 minutes the flow sensor has
detected 48liters of water passing through it, but has not detected the pressure switch
trip, the valves will be turned off and the error code will flash.

and here is their solution

water source opened
flowmeter
pressoswitch
wiring to valves, pump,
flowmeter, pressoswitch
hoses

either one of those parts...

tnx 4 using fixya,
