I have no display even at start it doesn't turn on my monitor

Hi Anthony,
Does the PC actually start up? In other words do the front panel lights come on and can you see the power supply fan turn at the rear where you plug in your power cable?

If so, try removing the RAM memory from the motherboard, clean the connectors with some surgical spirits or anti-static spray, then replace the RAM firmly back in their slots and try turning on your PC again.

Let me know if you still have a problem after following this procedure.
Best wishes,

My dell gx260 ligth come green if i turn it on but for a few mins time it turn orange why

Do you mean the monitor's power light starts green and then turns orange when you turn it on? Most monitors will go to a power saving mode when they do not get a signal from the computer.

The Dell GX260 has a green power light when on. When the computer is off, the light is off. If it is green and blinking, then the computer is in a power saving mode.

Diagnosis: start with the obvious: is the monitor cable plugged into both the computer and the monitor (if not permanently connected to the monitor)? Are you connected to the active port? (You can add a video graphics card in most desktops. The motherboard video port usually needs to be disabled to use the card ports. If you plug in the monitor cable to the disabled port, it won't work.) Is the monitor set to the correct input? (This applies if the monitor has several ports. In that case, there will be a Source or Input button on the monitor.) Is the computer on? The GX260 has the power button on the front. (Other computers have the power button on the top.) There is also the power supply switch on the back which needs to be on.

Next try a different data cable between the monitor and the computer (if you can). Try a different monitor. If a second monitor works, than the monitor has a damaged main board. If the second monitor doesn't work, then the video graphics adapter has probably failed. Replace the add-on card, if in use, then boot in the safe mode to remove the old graphics driver. Then install the correct driver for the graphics adapter.

Note: the computer and the monitor should both be off when you connect the cables. Then turn on the monitor first and set it to the correct source before turning on the computer.)

I hope this helps.

I have a HP Pavilion Slimline s3700y that doesn't always boot. Power is getting to the computer; the light on the back lights up as well as the lights on the front. However, power doesn't seem to...

If you saying "doesn't always boot", most common would be motherboard...
If your motherboard still beeps, then probably some other components has the problem like RAM, GPU card etc., depends on your motherboard.

Hope that give an idea...

Everything turns on but the monitor. The monitor still has a black screen and the light doesn't come on either. I have tried unplugging it and plugging it back in and also restarting the whole thing,...

The monitor has a power supply problem often caused by bad capacitors that in some cases bulge at the top indicating they are open. If you are handy with a soldering iron then you can attempt a repair. The most common capacitor failure is 1000uf depending on the make and model, the value may be higher or lower. To locate the power supply board follow the power cord that is plugged into the monitor.

When i turn my computer on the power light and

If your computer turns on and your monitor stays in stand by mode, then there is no communication between your video card and the monitor.
You could check if the cable is plugged in correctly or even faulty.

It is also possible that there is a problem with your video card. Maybe physically uninstalling and reinstalling it could solve it.

If none of this helps, then you might want to check a new video card.

Hope this helped.

My monitor is not working

First, stop to realize that some monitors are powered through the cable that comes from the computer stand alone unit. Some get power and have a normal electrical receptacle in the rear of the monitor. Some monitors have a little hole for the installation of a small plug from a step down transformer. Kind of like the one use in cell phones. If you have any lights on the monitor....then it isn't the power. If you do, then replace the cable from the stand alone to the monitor. Or, if you have another monitor, try it with your stand alone. But, most trying to help you are RIGHT. Details, you might wish to give more detail to get an accurate effort from this support page. Good luck.
