Question about HP Compaq Business Notebook NX9010

I've seen several of these. All have been the connector. On the bottom of you on/off switch is what Compaq calls a button board. This board if OK but it plus into a connector on the mother board. If you look at this connector closely with a magnifying glass as you attempt to remove the button board you'll notice that the connector is coming off the mother board. The pins for this connector are almost as thin as a human hair. I don't know of any way to repair this. HP is only illing to sell a new mother brd. Good luck.
