Question about Janome 8080 Computerized Sewing Machine

SP in display window, no options?

I just turned on my Janome 8080 for the first time and it displays "SP" on the screen. Nothing I do (turning power off and back on, pushing buttons, anything) seems to help, and the machine only responds by beeping 3 times when I push buttons. I can't figure out who to call.... Any ideas?

SP means that the bobbin winder has been pushed to the right in preparation for winding the bobbin. Just click the winding post to the left till it clicks, and the stitch number will be displayed.

I think you need to put in the spool and thread the machine.

Sp error janome 8048

This is usually meant that the bobbin winder is in engaged. This happens on my 8080, so it should also work for the 8048. Not mentioned in the manual. Found it by someone posting on the internet.

Janome Harmony 8080 showing SP in the display and I can't find my manual. I know I've had this issue before and the manual had the solution but I without the manual, I can't seem to fix it

SP means the bobbin winder is engaged. Move the spooler (where you put the bobbin when you wind it) to the left and your display will go back to normal.

Display screen has gone out on Janome 8000 machine.

The part is an LCD screen that needs to be rebuilt by the Janome Company. You will need to take the machine to a Janome dealer for this repair because Janome only sells to it's Dealers.. Plan on spending more than $300.

LED display on Janome Sewing Machine reads SP

SP means Spool Pin. It is currently in position to wind a bobbin. Move the bobbin winder pin to the left and SP should disappear.

I took my machine in with the same problem and they told me the display was bad. They told me that they did not make this part anymore. Try and find a parts machine.
