Sounds like you are having a issue with color format or a bad connection cable... In the US we use the NTSC color format, Japan uses NTSC-J, and Europe uses PAL. This matters quite a bit; if you have some Special Edition PS3 that they only sell in Japan and have it plugged into your Flatscreen TV in the UK no dice. Make sure you do not have conflicting regions for your hardware. Moreover, make sure the pixel resolution is not out of bounds for your TV's range. The PS3 has different connection cables for every kind of connection; RCA, HD, HDMI. I recommend using HDMI if your TV supports it.

Picture for Wii game is in black and white only.

What type of cables are you using? My presumption is that you're using Component Video Cables - Red, Green, Blue for video, Red & White for audio.

If one of the 3 video cables is mixed up or poorly connected, you could see a Black & White image on the screen. I suggest double checking your cables for tightness and correct color attachment. Also be sure the red video is not mixed with the red audio cable. The red audio cable is marginally thinner and probably physically attached to the white audio cable.

My Super Nintendo is showing up with black and white colors. It plays fine there is just no color, only black and white. Is it fixable?

Depending on the age or your television, this could be a simple fix. Newer TVs seem to be unable to translate the simple video colors from the Super Nintendo and thus render them in black and white. Try using an older TV.

Games are in black and white-no color

Make sure the cables are hooked up properly. Audio to the audio input and video into the video input of the tv.

If they are hooked up right and you still only get black and white pictures then the cable might be bad so get a new cable.

If you still have a problem even with a new cable then its something to do with the connector in the SNES or the main board itself.

Wii video is black and white

Possibly you've plugged the video into the component (RGB) portion of the input - this calls for 3 connectors (Red, Blue, & Green) and if you only plug one in from a composite it comes out grayscale. If you only have one video lead (yellow connector) make sure it is going to a composite connection which should also be yellow. Otherwise, more info is needed about your connections.

New system - no color on screen

the cable colors have to match the tv ones if you have different colors on cables then look for the label on the cables saying video or audio (red)=audio (white)=other audio (yellow)=video EXAMPLE if the cable colors are different than the tv then if the label on the cables say video and the color is blue etc. then you have to put it on the yellow putin on the tv no matter the color. If it dosent work then try holding the cables in many angles try pulling them or anything unlit they work get something to hold them up if that dosent work then i think you should buy new cables. Black and White Only

I had a similar problem when I first connected my son's xbox using the Audio/Video cable (red, white, & yellow connectors). I connected the cable to the TV correctly, but incorrectly selected "component" as the input on the TV setup. Result was black and white display. Switch your TV input mode to "AV" or "Audio/Video" and you will get color.

FYI, "component" TV mode is only used with devices that use the red, green, & blue connectors.
