Question about Eclipse CD8445 CD/MP3/WMA Receiver

1 Answer

I am trying to get the user registration key off of my CD8445.

It says to be sure the unit is in standby mode and I cannot find it. Can you tell me how to get into standby mode before I press the DISP button?

The standby mode is just having the radio turned off with the car or key turned on. That's all.

Maek sure machine is switched on and there is a display showing.

5.Press 'Set' to save the date and time the display will show "USER SETTINGS 2. UNIT TELEPHONE #"
6. Press the 'Stop' key to return tot he machine's normal 'standby mode' .
7. Print off this webpage so that you can remember how to change the time for daylight saving time changes etc... or int hee vent of a power cut.

Bulb Reset issue

I had the same problem and called Sony, they just said to keep trying what the manual says to do, but make sure the unit is in standby mode. I tried in powered mode and in standby mode many times and it did not work. Then I tried again the next day when the unit had been in standby mode for an extended time period. I hit the four buttons like the manual said, all four in quick succession. I also tried the four buttons in many different sequences from what the manual said. When I powered back up the lamp timer was set to zero, finally! I think having the unit in standby for an extended time was the key. The Sony rep really emphasized the need for the unit to be in standby.
