There is no other option to let the peoples to hear your played music, by putting music on speakers and hear them through mic.

Make sure volume is turned up and not muted. Test headset, can you hear anything?. What program are you using to communicate with others? Check settings in that program.

You are using one sound device at a time, this is not possible, if you like to be able to hear from headset and play music on your pc at a time, you must have a USB Amplifier and Headset (eg: GN Netcom, Avaya, etc...)

first you must set your Media Player's Option to Devices>Speakers>Audio device to use> DirectSound of your PC.

The other one is your are using a program to talk to other people, that program also has a feature to select the Audio devices to use, you must select that other device like my example above.

Hope this is clear enough to help you out.

Check to see if the headset plugs are into the right port. If you still have problem let me know of your operating system: » Microsoft Windows Vista » Microsoft Windows XP

Logitech headset, new vista operating system

either the headset is not supported by Vista, or you need to right click on both speaker icons, normally coloured red and black and in the properties you need to see if your headset is listed as one of the microphone input devices, if you need to make the Logitech headset the default mic and not the windows generic mic. If you do not see it in the properties then it may not be recognised by Vista.
