LG Washer Issue - can you please help

I have an LG front loading washer, model WM2487HRM, when I run the washer, every minute or so, a drop of water comes down the front through the bottom of the door. Does this mean a seal is bad or can the door be adjusted, or is there something more serious? Thanks in advance.

We definitely moved it by pushing on the front, I did not realize the machine was so delicate...LOL, how do we go about fixing this issue step wise? Thank you so much

Generally, this happens when the washer was pushed back into place by applying force to the front of the machine, thus pushing the front panel in just slightly. Sometimes you can fix this by just moving the location of the spring of the front gasket clamp from the bottom center to the left side hinge area. They actually make a special tool for expanding the spring, but you can manage without the special tool. Other times you may have to pull the front panel a out a bit or possibly replace the gray gasket / seal.

First, move the location of the spring on the clamp from the center bottom of the door opening to the hinge area on the left. Many times that is enough to solve this problem. If that does not do it, take the clamp off, remove the tub seal from the front door opening, grab inside the opening at the bottom and give it a firm pull. (not too much, you don't want to over do it) Re-attach the spring clamp with spring to the hinge side. Test. If still leaking, replace gray tub gasket. Hope this turns into a FixYa for you. PS. If this is less than a year old you could call for warranty service on it.

A LG WASHER MANUAL #WM2487HRM

There are several sources for the Owner's Manual. LG has it here: https://www.lg.com/us/support/products/documents/WM2487HRM.pdf . Sears Parts Direct has the manual for the WM2487HRM (and a few related models) here: https://www.searspartsdirect.com/manual/2ghnyqmryj-003204/lg-wm2487hrm-washer-parts . The direct link to the manual is https://c.searspartsdirect.com/mmh/pd_download/lis_pdf/OWNM/L0702355.pdf . ManualsLib also has it: https://www.manualslib.com/manual/1250343/Lg-Wm2487hrm.html .

I hope this helps.

We have a ge front load washer model # wm2487hrm . for about a week now after we run a wash cycle the main soap dish is completely full of clean water what could cause this thanks for any help Brady

That model is not a GE, it is an LG. 1. Dissassemble and clean out parts of the dispenser. Re-assemble. (could be not syphoning out the dispenser completely) 2. Check the screens inside the washer (esp. the cold) to see if it is plugged / restricted 3. water valve could be seeping water by.

LG wm2487hrm Washer not draining water. tE flashing. I drained water out of front and ran 2nd cycle same issue.

tE is a thermister error. It is a temperature sensor at the bottom front of the washer. tE can also be caused by a heater error. Some models have a seperate thermister, some incorporate it with the heater. It is very difficult to replace without taking the front off the machine.

Leaking water from my lg front loader during washing cycle- wm2487hrm

Hi,

The problem is due to the rubber boot is been torn that is causing you the leak. You have to check the rubber boot for leaks by removing the clamp assembly that secures the rubber boot to the outer lip of the door opening. Peel off the rubber boot then inspect it for any holes where it may be leaking. The rubber boot in your washer can be accessed only when you remove the front panel. This requires the removal first of the top panel then the console. Also check your inlet hoses on the outside of machine, also check the connections inside the panel in back.

Thank you !!

LG washer uses so little water, clothes aren't even damp and not clean

You will need to have a qualified LG technician come out and see what the problem is.  You may have a water level switch issue.
