Question about Fuji FinePix E550 Digital Camera

Adapter ring cover problem

Removed the adapter ring cover in order to mount an adapter tube and wide-angle lens. I'm finished with the wide-angle so I removed the adapter tube and attempted to re-install the adapter ring cover. It will not lock into place despite anything I try. Has anyone out there got a solution to this problem other than taking it to a repair shop? Thanks.

Maybe the adapter ring release button is stuck after you pushed it in to release the cover. Try giving it a good flicking until you are sure it has popped out.

Don't know how to remove and swap lenses on my olympus sp-590uz

The lens isn't supposed to be removable. With the CLA-11 Adapter Tube you can add an additional lens to the camera, such as close-up, wide-angle, or telephoto. However, these attachments go in front of the lens that is already on the camera.

Hi, I bought a CANON FD - 28 mm f 2.8 WIDE ANGLE LENS for my OH's eos 400D, he says it doesnt fit, its too small. Is there an adapter or anything or should I just look for the right one? Many thanks

Canon FD lenses date back to before the mid 1980's. They use a totally different mounting system to the later EOS mount which was a redesign to suit the needs of auto-focussing.

Unfortunately they are chalk and cheese: you cannot realistically fit an FD lens to an EOS camera.

Your fix is to sell the lens and to buy one with an EOS mount.

I want to use PL filter with DMW-LW 55. Can I

No, there's always going to be a compromise.

In this case you'll find that having the wide-angle converter further from the lens will affect the angle of view a little, but the main effect will be vignetting. All you can do is try it and experiment with different aperture settings to minimise the effect. In any case, you'd be better off in every respect by mounting the DMW-LW55 directly to the adapter, and then mounting the adapter onto the filter. To do otherwise will lead to dreadful colour fringing as the adapter and wide angle converter lenses are optically matched and designed to be a particular distance apart.

Do they make a converter for cannon len to fit fugi

Depends what you mean.

The Fuji s7000 is a fixed lens bridge camera, so you can't remove the lens and use an adapter and fit other lenses.

All that you can do is to git supplementary telephoto, wide angle and extreme close up (macro) lenses to the filter thread on the end of the lens; if you use what's called a reversing ring you can then (within reason) mount pretty much any SLR lens backwards onto the front of yours. The reversing ring screws into the filter threads of each lens and will be quoted in two sizes: these will be whatever the filter thread diameter is on each lens. By mounting a lens backwards, you effectively end up with an extreme macro lens, but it all depends upon which lens you choose. The reverse mounted lens will just be a dumb bit of glass, there will be no focus or aperture control and no communication of any information back to your s7000.

Hope that I've helped, if so please rate my answer.

Need to replace lens

The DVC7 has a 43mm filter thread on its lens. Depending on your Bower's thread size, you may need a step-up or step-down adapter ring to fit it to the DVC.
After checking if you have your sizes correct, you need to remove the DVC7's lens hood. After that, it's just a matter of screwing the wide angle lens to the DVC's lens.
Hope this helps!

How to fis additional lens for canon power shot S1 IS

On the lower right side of the lens (as viewed from the rear) is a small button that releases the ring around the lens barrel. Removing the ring reveals a bayonet-style mounting flash that allows you to attach a lens adapter for extended telephoto, wide angle, or macro capabilities. Need to open Lens?

1. Front Lens Cap- press the two side taps in and pull out.
Rear Lens Cap- twist and pull out.

2. Remove and Repair: Small Phillip Screwdrivers, gloves and mask.

From the rear, the electrical contacts- remove all those
screws. Some screws are locked with clue. Pinch black
plastic ring that is part of those contacts and gently remove out.
Don't brake the electrical contact ribbon cable.

Good lock.

An adapter tube has to flare out at the end or it will cut the corners off at the wide angle setting. Telephoto should be ok though.

Wide angle adapter

I wouldn't worry about the adapter. I'm going to try ordering a telephoto converter this weekend.
