Evga 680i motherboard no signal on monitor

I just finished my new setup with a 680i motherboard and it shows that it works fine(from the indicator lights) but the lcd display shows - - and I get no display on my monitors.

I have tried the reboot sequend and nothing worked. I have heard about using a floppy drive and it boots up only problem is I have no floppy drive nor do I want one

Have the same reference board only mine is MSI (What I've read there is Evga, MSI (Which was not meant for sale, even says it in my BIOS notes... lol) and BFG which are all the same board), I have got my setup to work perfectly but now am looking to SLI it and am getting different results with basically the same config...

    PSU is 620W (SLI ready) - P Core D 3.00Ghz - 2 3dInno 9800 GT - Kingston standard RAM.

As soon as I boot with 2nd card either powered or with SLI bridge connection the problems start.1st trys I got a Post code 65 - Special treatment for PS2 mouse... But really the computer had crashed, I then went and set BIOS to defaults (cause I had a bit changed in there) did the same thing.

Loaded windows by using 1 card and download and upated BIOS to a version from Feb this year. When doing this I noticed at boot it stopped on same post code 65 BUT ask if i'd like to continue by pressing F1... This started happening each time at every boot. I then when in BIOS and set it to Halt on no errors was Halt on all but Keyboard.

Plugged 2nd car in again with new BIOs which was also booting fine onsingle card, weirdly it got past bootup got post diplay FF and then got to part just before Wins loads and the screen went all funny (like a half display) for 5 seconds, then back to normal got Vista logo and computer crashed...

2nd try got me where the display goes funny and then just stayed that way. Since the new BIOS and getting through the boot the keyboard was not working, cause each time I tryed pressing del to get into BIOS but it just keep moving along like nothing was going on.

After a few restarts, loaded BIOS defaults now I dont get past boot again, this time stops on post code 50 which something to do with int USB controller.

I don't think the posts mean anything or have to do with problem. Does it matter which way the SLI bridge faces? oh tested both card by themselves and they both work fine. Done Long Memery test and it check out fine.

    Any ideas? Thanks

Forgot to say that with post code 50 (SLI attepmt) there is no display on screen now. Also there is RAID config enabled.

Tried more things, loaded Vista with 2nd card plugged in but not powered. Once in Vista I connected the power cable and refreshed in Device Manager and it found the card installed drives and did not crash or anything. But did say it needs to restart for change to take place did that and same thing happened, no display frozen in post code 50...

Tried same thing with XP (Have dual boot) XP could not find the card...

Nice Mobo by the way. Are you using Vista or XP? Does the board POST?Do you use the SLI feature?Does the bios hand off to Windows? If you can answer these questions it would help. I have more questions but I would like to start with these

Have an EVGA nForce 680i. Bought 2x 2 GB 6400 800Mhz of ram to replace 2x 1 GB sticks. However when I start up the system it only reads that I have 2874 MB of RAM. So I figured maybe one of the sticks is...

The reason its only seeing just under 3GB of memory is no doubt because you are using a 32BIT operating system (probably XP).
If you were to install Win 7 (X32) or a 64BIT operating system the computer would see all 4GB of RAM you have installed.

Its nothing to worry about though as the computer will work just fine. If you were to check in the BIOS you would see all 4GB of memory is there and see by the BIOS.

1 long 1 short beep code, is it a motherboard failure? There is no signal to the monitor after powering on.

the beeps are post during post the very first work is done by the ram,all the memory in the ram is first transferred to the hard disk, and remains active untill turned off.
make sure that your RAM is securely seated
try replacing all the leads that attach to your hard drive including electrical extensions + IDE,SATA the ones that attach from your motherboard to hard drive
make sure all leads that are attached to your drives dvd\cd 3 1/2 inch floppy have secure connections and are not faulty or just replace them they are probably old and faulty ?
hope this helps

System fan is working and there is no display in monitor

Would be because that system fan is not pluged into the main baord if its a video card fan that you talking about that does not show up in the advance section this is because this card does not support that type of control as of yet for your card stand by evga is working on a fix.. Please help me to solve no display evga 680i sli (- -)error code

hi im josh in cebu phils.may i help you? friend try my solution ; Problem: Your Monitor Works, but Displays an Error Message Before Windows Loads If you see an error message, you at least know that video signals are getting to your monitor. Look for these common messages:
Bad or missing FILENAME In this message, the FILENAME refers to your video card's device driver file. Make sure that the driver has been copied to your hard disk and selected properly within Windows.
NUMBERxx This type of message (such as 24xx) indicates that you have a defective video card or a problem on the motherboard, or that you are trying to display in a mode that your system can't display. Check all the switch settings on your card and motherboard, and if the problem persists, see a repair technician. try to use that, good luck hope i helped you.

Computer will not turn on. it is just "sparking" ie fans/lights/come on for split second and then everything goes off. on my evga motherboard there is a FF display. i have been troubleshooting easy things...

Not sure about the FF. If everything comes on and then powers off after only a split second, there is not time for the display to show anything. I'm suspecting it is indicating there is no signal.
The very first thing I would try on this computer is the power supply (assuming it's a desktop system).
A faulty power supply can act like this.

No signal on monitor when card is seated

the problem occured probably because of a power shortage of motherboard battery malfunction, if your motherboard has an integrated graphics card you then need to enter setup and disable it or choose which graphis card your pc has to use but you have to do this while connected to the on-board vga slot as the other one won't be working, you will problably find the choice under the
'integrated periferals" menu in the setup menu, and to access it you have to press the "DEL" button when your pc starts-F10 in some devices-
