Question about Mamiya 645 Pro TL Medium Format Camera
Hello. I recently bought a 645 Pro-TL but need a basic guide of operating this camera. I have the Instruction Manual but nothing which explains some of the basics which I don't know. For example, what does the Auto A-S setting on the shutter dial do? When I'm looking through my metered viewfinder, how do I know if it I have the proper settings? I will mostly do landscapes so will likely be using Aperature priority mode (AV??). Any help would be appreciated.

The mirror motor is probably the problem, you'll usually hear a whirring noise like a motor spinning. It's about a $125 repair, requiring the mirror box to be removed and the mirror driving motor replaced. Pentax originally put a plastic gear on the motor shaft - the replacements have a brass gear.

The green rectangle is full automatic. You can use the P mode for the same function. In the P mode, you can change settings, in the green rectangle, you cannot.
