Wii games that worked fine could have future problems
My modded wii was working fine. But recently i
noticed that everytime my wii tries to read a game disc i get an
awkward clicking sound as the disc rotates/loads and then have a black
screen that says "remove the disc and turn off the console". I don´t
know what is going wrong, all the disks are clean, it just can´t run
the same burned games as before. What do i do to fix the problem? Does
unmodded wii also have the same problems?

Re: wii games that worked fine could have future problems
It is possible that you updated your Wii with a new firmware that was available on one of the game disks. Some modifications do not work anymore after a firmware update. So it might be possible that you have an older modification that Nintendo overrides with a new installed firmware. It is almost sure that when you remove the modification completely, your Wii is working fine. If so, install a recent modification that is immune for these firmware tricks, dor example the D2Sun

Hi the problem is usually caused when you update the firmware and if the firmware detects the Wii has been tampered with such as modded to play games it shouldnt then it picks up on this and bars you from using the Wii try the following first though
Try this: while holding down the reset button, turn on the power to the
Wii. If a menu comes up then your wii is definitely hacked but it has a
brick safety program to get you out of it if this then gets it working your lucky, if you have not had it modded and you bought it from new and have never done anything to it then send me a message back if you bought it second hand then the chances are its been hacked to play copies or foreign games so you could be a bit stuck.
the only option you have if it has been modded is to have it reprogrammed i fix consoles for a living and you will need to find someone who can sort this out for you, you will have to pay but it should get it working again.
if you have had it from new and it has not been modded then let me know and ill assist you further ok
plz rate this solution as i have a whole page of unrated posts, thanks
I had a friend with the same issue. I just modded his wii and then he backed the games up to a hard drive and they played perfectly without an update being needed. The best place to get your wii modded is www.wiihdmods.com
It could be a backup game. If all your other games work fine you will have to take that one back or return it. Your other option would be to get your wii modded and use a hard drive to backup games. www.wiihdmods.com has free mods on it's site.
This is the exaclty the same thing that happends to the xbox 360.. if your wii scratched your game while it was standing vertical, put your wii on its side. if it scratched it while it was on side put it vertical. If your game doesnt work anymore and you have scratch warranty on this game, id return it soon as you can. Or get the game fixed. but if it still works, i have the same problem with my wii but the game still works fine in the future.
Yes their games will play fine on your Wii, and yes you can send games home. Wii systems sold here only work in Canada, US and South America.
Now if you were trying to do that with a Japan game, they have a different region code then us (Canada, US) So if you wanted to play Japan games on a Canadian/United States Wii you would have to install a mod chip for that to work.
