Please, I need help to set up optus 3G with my DrayTek Vigor 2800 series router.

The Draytek Vigor router supports USB-based Wide Area Network, or WAN, modems. It has four 10/100 Base-T ports, Network Address Translation IP packet filtering firewall, Demilitarized Zone and Virtual Private Network. The initial setup requires installing the firmware. Then, connect the USB router to the modem, in order to upload the firmware automatically to the modem.

It is an issue the Draytek and your phone.

Draytek displays as a web page. It uses HTML or XHTML
In order to see it on your phone it needs to be coded in XHTML Mobile 1.0

Router password is usually admin. Sometimes it is displayed on the router itself. If it is not the one which is on the router, or if you have forgotten it, you would need to reset the router using the reset button procedure and set it all up again.

Do a backup on the router and get the settings

Part I : Backup

1. Logon to Router Web Configurator page, choose System Maintenance >> Configuration Backup.

2. Click the Backup button.



Part II : Restore

1. Logon to Router Web Configurator page, choose System Maintenance >> Configuration Backup.

2. Click Browse button, choose the config file that you'd like to restore then click the Restore button.






3. If the restoration is successful, there will be a Congratulation window popping up. Please click the Restart button to apply the updated settings.



Please be advised not to restore the config file back up from former firmware version. While firmware version is upgraded, please configure Vigor Router's settings again manually.

There is no default username or password to access the Vigor routers. Reset the router to clear any previous settings from its memory. Default IP Address is http://192.168.1.1 Manuals and firmware is available from the device maker.
