Sony DAV FC7 Stops Playing (by 2 users)

posted by fivesuttons on Jan 28, 2007

The DVD player won't play through a complete DVD - it will stop part way through and freeze. The only way to get the system working again is to shut it off an start up again. Then it will play for another 1/2 hour or so and stop again. All other functions work fine.

I have cleaned the fan and dusted inside, all of the DVDs have been cleaned and I have purchased a DVD cleaner that made no improvement.

Any other suggestions?

Same problem when playing DVD and it freezes abut 1/2 hour in. Obviously this isn't an isolated problem
