I need to reset my toshiba satelite A215-S4817 to factory default

toshiba satelite A215-S4817
This is a laptop not a desktop !!
Restoring factory default settings on your computer can be done within a couple of hours, without any need for the recovery discs.
First, you need to back up any data and information that you want to keep, such as documents, pictures, and downloaded email, since everything will be erased from your hard drive after restoring the factory settings on your computer.
If you haven't restored factory settings on your machine before, do not worry.
With proper instruction, you can have your computer back to its original state within a few hours at most.

Restart your computer and proceed to Step 2 before Windows begins to load after reboot.
If you are restoring a Toshiba model, hold down the "0" (zero) key as you turn off the machine, then skip to step three.
2
Access your computer's "PC Recovery" feature by entering the correct button(s) for your machine.
This button varies, depending on the make of your machine.
HP and Dell users will hit the "F11" key, whereas Acer and Sony users will enter "F10."
If you own a Samsung model, use "F4."
3
Select "Destructive Recovery," or "Restore Original Factory Image," from the list of options that appear on the next screen, then click "Continue."
A destructive recovery will erase everything on your machine and reinstall the operating system.
4
Wait as the factory settings are restored on your computer.
Windows will require you to make date, time, and language settings on the next set of screens to follow after your machine restarts.
This process can take anywhere from a half-hour up to 2 hours to complete.

Pc won't boot up

This is a hardware problem so follow this steps:
"Shutdown your computer and remove the power cord attach to it before doing everything"
1. Open your computer case
2. Remove the memory card but please hold it on both ends ( memory is very sensitive in static electricity)
3. Using a soft brush remove the dirt in your memory. Then use rubber eraser or a pencil eraser to clean the pins of your memory.
4. Attach back your memory
5. Remove the video card if it is add-in and clean this the way you clean the memory. If it is built then do nothing.

I hope you'll follow this simple solution...

How to restore my acer e700-1e7u pc to factory setting

most of the times you might need the recovery CD's for that..

Do you have them?

If you do, Just put the first CD and restart the computer, you will get a wizard to restore your computer. REMEMBER: all your data will be erased.

If you dont' have the CD's you can try getting them from Acer or from websites like:

System Restore

All your files are now marked as not in use. What this means is they could be "undeleted" if some went about doing so. Over time they will get overwritten has the pc is used more and more. If you are worried about someone recovering your data then you need to do a wipe of your hard drive using a program like DBAN. Then you'd need a recovery cd handy to restore the pc, since after doing the wipe the hard drive will be completely erased... Hope that helps.
