Question about Microwave Ovens

1 Answer

Water was inadvertantly put into the grinder of our Saeco Magic deluxe Type Sup012R. This affected the grinder so we took to our local service centre who after a few days said he had repaired it. unfortunately it was no better so we returned it to the service centre again but it is no better. The grinder takes a very long time to grind the beans abd brewed coffee is leaking behind the outlet nozzle. Please advise us as what we should do now. Looking forward to your reply. Judith Hutton

How to repair?

There are no consumer servicing options to a microwave oven due to the dangers of inadvertent exposure to microwave energy. The case is held by special screws that only techs have. Take it to your local service centre.

You can look for (have seen and used them) a wind up type that you put in the oven and they for the price work ok.

I put pizza wrapped in aluminum foil into the microwave for 3-5 seconds until i saw sparks.. i took it out and it left black marks on the microwave. How do i get it off? Does the microwave still work?

If you shut it down quick enough the microwave will be operational, to remove the black marks mix baking soda in water and until becomes a paste, apply over affected area's let it sit for 5 minutes and wipe off with clean warm water.

Help I inadvertently, turned the microwave on instead of the timer. It burned the bottom of the microwave, is there anything I can do? It cracked the turntable and melted the plastic holder. Everything...

You will need to replace the damaged parts.

For more help from Magic Chef / Ewave see here or their contact page or order parts here.

You can download owner's manuals for many Magic Chef models here.

If the cavity metal of the oven is charred or chipped, the area will first have to be sanded smooth and cleaned and dried thoroughly.

Then you can apply some high-temperature appliance paint, available from places like Wal-Mart, Lowe's or Builder's Square.

Whenever anyone uses the stovetop to boil water, the steam seems to affect the microwave and causes it to turn on by itself and the panel buttons will not work

did it come with the exhaust fan under it? if so just turn it on when boiling water if it didn't try to find one that goes with the unit and hve it installed, this is theonly way to fix the problem

Magic chef microwave mcd153 uw 1000 watt output

We see (and repair) this a lot. The problem is on the control panel, which we regularly repair nationwide for $39.95 postpaid.

This light failure often occurs when a bulb goes out and the filament shorts, or when the bulbs are removed or installed without first unplugging the oven from the power line. Either can cause such a failure on the controller.

This can often also affect the exhaust fan operation, too. The lights and fan can be inoperable or stuck on too.

Details of our service and critical safety information and disassembly information is at our site, and our link is at our listing here on FixYa: http://tinyurl.com/yzjozk
