Question about E-Machines eMonster 600 PC Desktop

"E Machines" welcome screen

I'm so tired of seeing the big E Machines screen come up each time I boot the machine. Is there a place I can access and a way I can delete it from coming on with each boot?

Re: "E Machines" welcome screen

Press F2 or Del during boot up and you will access the bios. You will have to look through the menus for something like 'logo on boot up' enable/dissable.

If this is the bios your talking about (the first screen you see apon booting) then you have have incorrect settings. Access the bios by pressing F2 or DEL and check your settings or connections to your hard drive and cd-rom and other removeable storage devices.

If You Can Open The Drive On Another Computer You May Want To Check If "\WINDOWS\System32\userinit.exe" exists on your drive. If not it will need too be replaced from the installation media (Needs To Be Same Version And Service Pack As Is Installed On Your PC). If No Other Computer Is Available It Can Be Accessed From The Recovery Console When You Boot From The Installation Media On Your PC.

Computer gets to welcome screen, click on screen name, reads saving personal settings and never finishes booting up. I have tried safe mode and last system settings options from the boot menu with no luck....

Let the boot process continue for a while.. Maybe even an hour or so... Spybot will automatically start a new scan before boot, if it found items which it could not delete / remove in an active session . In some cases it is just a "wait" and give it time to complete it's process.

In many cases, if you see an occassional flash on the disk access, it is working.. Just be patient.

    Windows xp desktop boot problem

    Hi utility,

Try this, it may work for you. What I’m going to suggest is entering the DOS environment and making necessary changes to get your pc up and running.

    - Reboot> At reboot watch for DOS screen option “enter setup” via a F button option. You have to watch closely because on some pc’s this option goes by quick, so be ready to act. Once in the DOS environment navigate to “boot options” choose safe mode . Save changes and exit. When your os is up go immediately to system restore: Click Start>all programs>accessories>system tools>system restore. Choose a date before your issue arose.>click next/continue and wait for system to restore. Reboot, and enter DOS environment once more and go to boot options and choose “Normal boot”>save changes and exit and you should be done. I hope this helped or at least gave you some ideas for further investigation.
