System: DENON AVR 3803 The TV is connected to the receiver, so both the audio and video components are fed through the receiver, I think. The image on the TV was present, but the TV/VCR button was pushed on the remote control and interference appeared. No subsequent actions made the picture reappear, including pressing the TV/VCR button again. I don't know if something was reset inside the control's programming interface, but please respond as quickly as possible.

THERE ARE ONLY TWO WAYS THE TV SHOULD BE CONNECTED TO THE DENON,
1. MONITOR OUT OF THE DENON TO AN INPUT ON THE TV.
2. AUDIO OUT FROM THE TV TO AN INPUT ON THE DENON.
ALL YOU DEVICES CAN BE CONNECTED TO THE DENON IF #1 CONNECTION IS USED OR ALL DEVICES CONNECTED TO THE TV IF #2 IS USED

I have a Denon AVR-3803 receiver and I have a DirecTV HD DVR HR 20-700. We believed someone hit a button on the receiver to cause the screen to go black. What buttons should we be pressing to try and...

First thing would be to check all the input settings on the TV and Receiver. Without knowing how it's connected, follow the cables from the Direct TV receiver to the AV receiver then to the TV and note the location. (input name) on the electronics back panel. Then make sure the TV is on that input, (Video1, Video 2, etc) Same on the AV Receiver, make sure the name on the back of the unit where the video cable is plugged into is displayed on the front of the Receivers display (CBL/SAT, HDTV, etc.) Lastly, make sure all the products are "on" especially the Direct TV receiver. It happens! Hope this helps. If you still have an issue, post a comment/reply and I can help you further diagnose the problem.

Hi Have Vizio Flat Screen and a Denon 3803 receiver. The Tv a Vizio 65 Inch flat screen was here. Out of the wall is a power cord and red, blue, green monster cable. Red and Blue is audio and green video I...

Red, Green and Blue cables together typically denotes a component video signal - an Analog, High Definition transportation for video. This cable does not carry audio, you need another cable to hook up audio between the DVR and receiver. You can use either an RCA stereo cable (red and white), optical-audio, HDMI, or a whole plethora of other audio cables. I would recommend optical or HDMI to get the most out of your system.
