Try connecting the monitor to a friend's computer. If you get some sort of a display it's not the problem. When you say that the computer makes a new noise like the fans are spinning fast, you might have an issue with the video card , motherboard, or power supply.

Hp D4000 won't boot up. Power supply light is on solid green but its almost as if the power button on the tower is not turning the tower on.

Computer does not boot up The problem maybe the RAM, it is faulty or just needs reseating to make proper electrical contact.
Reseat the RAM and then boot up your laptop. If it still does not boot up then remove the RAM module/s and take them to your friendly computer repair shop and get them to test the RAM for you. Just like you sometimes need a mechanic to repair your car, sometimes you do need a technician to diagnose and identify the fault or faults on your computer. Not only does a good service technican have the experience to deal with this type of problem, they also have the equipment that allows them to look at things the average computer user can't see, and he has a collection of replacement parts that can be used to quickly test individual components on your computer.

Won't Boot after pressing the power buttton

Unplug the tower and press power button for 60 seconds, if this fails the motherboard should be suspect, check all plugin connections to the motherboard especially power supply connectors.

Hi,
If you are referring to the green light on the system tower and is blinking the problem could be the system is in stand by mode.

Turn off the computer by pressing on the power button on the system tower for 10 seconds.

Disconnect the black power cord at the back of the system tower and then again press the power button on the tower for 10 seconds. There would be no activity on the tower when you do this.

Reconnect the power cord and then power on the computer to see if the issue is resolved.

Don't starts yellow light flasing

If the power button on the tower is flashing Amber, the fault is the power supply. Replace the power supply and they system should work.
If the power supply doesn't resolve then the 2nd most likely failure is the Front IO panel (Circuit card behind the power button)

It sounds like the machine is experiencing hardware problems. You will either need to call Dell or take it into a local computer repair place.

My dell xps 700 unbootable

The error code you posted corresponds to component failure..
What you need to do is unhook the power cable from the tower n remove the memory , all the cards n the cd drive... now put the memory back in n start the system {without the cd drives or cards... except video card if u dont have onboard graphics... }. Now if the system starts then switch it off again n start connecting components one by one till you find the faulty component... if this method doesnt help then you better go ahead n call up the tech support n get a service technician

Dell XPS 400 tower does not power up monitor?

The “self test” on the monitor displays when not plugged into a computer. This means that it’s working. The LED error code 2 and 4 means the video subsystem has a problem. Either your video card is bad or bad memory module. Try reseating video card and/or memory.
