One of my phone just stopped working today,eariler in the day the phone rang,had dial tone.now nothing,it's the phone on the main base.handset 2 works fine.i unplugged the power cord and the battery,nothing,

Handset one stops working. If I try to get a dial tone, it beeps at me twice and then goes back to screen it has when it is hung up. In the past, establishing a dial tone on handset two has fixed handset one. Sometimes I realize this is happening because I hear Handset two ringing, but not handset one. Lately, both handsets have been having the same problem,leaving me without a phone connection for unknown amounts of time. This is very frightening. We're fortunate it hasn't happened during an emergency. A few times, I have noticed I have a voicemail, but the phone never rang, and the caller ID doesn't show the call. My phone was purchased new at Target and is less than six months old. This service is not acceptable.Handset one stops working. Perform a reset on the headset. Hold down the mute button (the dial on the back of the headset needs to be pushed straight in), and at the same time hold down the call answer button until you see the green light on the headset blink a few times. Release both the mute button and the call answer button. See if it works now. If it doesn't, try a re-subscription (should be available in the manual).
I just had the same problem. Try unplugging the plug from the electrical outlet for the home(base) unit and plugging back in. Fixed my problem right away.
I have no dial tone on my phones. I can receive calls and my answer machine works ok. I plugged another phone (an old phone) and I have a dial tone on that phone, but not on the new ones
