Your path depends on what your capabilities are so far; you can take coursework at a community college, just read books and use computers for research at the library and bookstore, seek training from your employer, or look for other learning resources via primary and secondary schools and social resources (synagogue, athletic club, arts club, etc.)

You should certainly go to those resources with a few things in mind to accomplish; a certain level of competency and literacy, which you will be able to prove to yourself by trying out certain things. There will be pressures on your expectations and you should persevere to make the good parts come true.

Think of your PC as a personal secretary that will remember and organize every thing you tell it to. But back up the very important stuff on cd or amnisia will kill you one day. Also, there are enough peripherals out that today that you make make this thing do really cool stuff. For example, I live far away from my parents but they still see they're grand kids every week on video chat. I hope this helps.

Tweak: Disabling Right Click on Start Menu

Before you start to use the Tweak make sure you Create a System Restore Point or have Backup before applying this.

You can use this Tweak for Securing your Desktop .

To use this tweak follow the steps below:

  1. Open Registry Editor (regedit.exe).
  2. Navigate to HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Directory\shell & to HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Folder\shell
  3. Now rename the key shell to shell.old
  4. Now reboot your PC.
If you want to show it again then rename it to shell again.

Good luck!

Computer Desktop screen shrunk

1) First try to go into the control panel under display and try a different resolution. Or try to adjust the display on the actual monitor. If this does not help try Starting the Last Know Good Configuration.

2) The Last Known Good Configuration feature is a recovery option that you can use to start your computer by using the most recent settings that worked. The Last Known Good Configuration feature restores registry information and driver settings that were in effect the last time the computer started successfully. Use the Last Known Good Configuration feature when you cannot start Windows XP after you make a change to your computer, or when you suspect that a change that you just made may cause a problem.

I cant connect to any networks i need drivers

You need to give a clearer description of the problem you are having and the type of computer you are using and the way all the components are set up. Are you using a network connection or a direct connection to the internet. What type of windows program are you using , what type of movie maker are you having problems with.Did this problem just start or have you had a ongoing problem that just got worse. You can try using the safe-start up mode in windows and try deleting the last program that you used before you starting having this problem.Go into the Bios on start up and find the start up in safe mode and try deleting the program and see if all your functions are restored. If not you may have to further troubleshoot the situation to determine the problem. If all this fails try restoring you computer to a earlier setup with the windows restore function. Hope this helps you with your problem.

My T1220 IS RUNNING SLOW

There are a few things you can do to help your computer to run faster. First is do a disc cleanup. Go to "Start", "All Programs", "Accessories", "System Tools", then click "Disc Cleanup", it'll walk you through the rest.

Next go to the control panel and remove programs that are taking up space that you don't use a lot. Browse your computer and delete old fiels saved on your computer you no longer use.

Also, change your start up programs. You could have a lot of programs opening up when your computer starts that you don't use. Go to the control panel, click "Performance" and on the left hand side you will see "Manage start-up programs" and Disable programs that you aren't using often so they won't boot up everytime you reboot your computer.

PC won't Start windows normally

You can attempt to undo this through the use of System Restore.

I am going to assume you are on Windows XP, So start your computer in safe mode without networking.

Once you are in the desktop you are going to use System Restore. Choose a date in time on your computer before the incident happened.

For more information on the system restore utility go here:
