I had the bigmaq toolbar yesterday which gave a link to a compressed file that when extracted kept you up to date with the latest keys.

However I did not have the winrar program to extract it.

After downloading a winrar program on my laptop contracted a virus which blocked my internet use.

I've since had to perform a system restore, which has took me the best part of the day.

Now I can't download the toolbar or find a link to the exe file and I can't even remember the name of it.

Ever had one of those days?

Then you have to copy these files to C:\windows\system32 folder ( this means overwrite the files ) and try to install the software. it should work.

Hello there Try this Start button -> All Programs -> Accessories -> Right click on Command Prompt, select 'Run as administrator'. You should be in directory C:\Windows\System32 Type regsvr32 vbscript.dll (enter) Should get a message box saying DLL has been registered. Run the installer again.

When i start my computer I get message

This error is caused by a browser plugin, which is not able to find the proper .dll (dynamic link library) file.  Many of us would consider the software you are using spyware or malware, as it is caused by programs such as MyWebSearch.  You may have downloaded addons such as smilies or cursor mania.  I would recommend uninstalling and removing any toolbars or addons that you have installed, as these are likely spyware or malware.

Virus as a system password protection?

Hi there. If you have a damaged/currupted .DLL file, it needs to be replaced. It could also be that the CRC's don't match.

Try installing the latest windows installer:

Secondly, you mention you can't boot into windows. Try booting from the XP CD, and run a repair.

Hope this works

My problem is I have a printer and I cannot install it because the file wiafdrv.dll on windowsxp home editon cd-rom is needed an do not have one.

Do you have a Lexmark printer? I found this dll file and many of the comments about it relate to Lexmark printer issues. Click the below link and it will download your missing dll file. I searched for "wiafdrv.dll" and there were no hits for this dll, but there was one for the dll file "wiafbdrv.dll". Make sure before clicking the link below, that this is the correctly named dll file you need.

Extract this file and place the dll file in the correct location as specified by the error you're receiving.
