Error code F7 displayed on Whirlpool ADP5966 dishwasher

I can cancel the code and reselect a program but after a short time the code re-appears and the program does not advance. Initially there is water input but when the code appears the inflow ceases

Hi and welcome to FixYa,

Whirlpool error code "F7" is indicative of a failed "inflow of water". Simply stated, the water is not coming in. There are various possibilities that could lead to this error message:

  • low water pressure (check to be sure);
  • defective water in valve (most likely);
  • defective water level sensor (likely);
  • faulty controller/logic board (unlikely but a possibility).
Repair/corrective action would require checking the:
  • water inlet valve. This page would show examples;
  • inlet tube/hose;
  • inlet filter;
  • all other components in the water IN area.
Just a start, do postback how things turned up or should you need additional information. Good luck and Thank you for using FixYa.

    I think to remember that F7 on whirpool is a filling problem.

    Start checking that the drain hose is not clogged, and that water supplies are filling water into the machine.

    Remove the filters and the mesh filter, clean out the black grid in the bowl, be very careful and do not damage the membrane inside .

    Try the machine again after resetting it by unplugging again for two mins.

    If you still get the error, remove the
    panels to access the
    flowmeter and unplug it, that should be located at the bottom front of the plastic water matrix. Plug
    the machine power back on, and try it again.

    If you have not worked on a large appliance before, better calling a technician.

    Always unplug power cord when you service the machine.

    Try entering model number here to get schematics.

    Here is also a general diagram :

Why my AEG F55080vi stops after drain cycle (program beginning) and then it stops and I hear 2 beeps and 2 flash continuously?

Definitely, water drain time-out. Error code i20.
The pressure switch doesn't return to EMPTY (1-2) after two drain phases lasting 120 seconds.
Possible causes:
Drain circuit obstructed/blocked; drain pump
interrupted or jammed (foreign bodies); level
pressure switch blocked on FULL (1-3); hydraulic
circuit of pressure switch obstructed; wiring faulty;
circuit board faulty.

Thanks to your detailed description of failure I conclude that in drain phase (after starts drain pump) leaks water and causing a short circuit. I would thoroughly reviewed drain hydraulic circuit. If is alarm displayed and there is no water inside dishwasher then check heater and anti-interference suppressor.

WON'T END WASH CYCLE/KEEPS ON RUNNUNG..IS THERE A CODE FOR THIS

If you cannot cancel the cycle then turn power off and back on.
Then try to program a short cycle from panel and see if it works.

I am assuming when you say that it keeps running you mean the water keeps churning and does not drain out.
If short cycle works ok then the dishwasher is not heating water to the correct temperature. Need to check thermostat or heater.

Bosch dishwasher stuck wash cycle

If you post your model number I and others may be able to help you further.
Short of that, it sounds like, the dishwasher stops because it's waiting for the water to get to the right temperature before it advances. If you open the door and the water is cold, you need to replace your heater because it's not heating the water. If the water is really hot, then replace the thermostat inside the door because it's not reading the water temperature correctly and advancing the timer.

Power failure

  • Find the "Start/Cancel" button on the dishwasher's control pad. This button is located on the far-right side of the pad on most Frigidaire Gallery dishwasher models.
  • 3 Press the "Start/Cancel" button to clear the "PF" error code. Resume using the dishwasher as normal. You may have to reselect and start your cycle from the beginning.

Whirlpool Dishwasher will not start

Contact appliance repairman,

sounds like either a control problem, or the is a problem with the solenoid that opens up to let water in the dishwasher at initial start.

You have to allow the drain cycle to finish completely, or find cancel drain dot points and press both at the same time, to reset program, open the door and close it to make sure the micro-switch activate properly

BAD CONTROL BOARD TO TEST TO SEE IF THIS IS THE ISSUE RUN TEST PROGRAM
To start test program, press and hold both SCRUB WASH and DELICATE/ECONO program buttons, then turn unit on by
pressing ON/OFF button. Initially, control module version # will be displayed (e.g./ “20” = version 0 without jumper). When
wash program buttons are released, lights above them will flash. To end test program, press ON/OFF button.
To check each program indicator light, press its button. To check Cycle Countdown display, Refill Rinse Agent light and
REGULAR WASH light, press REGULAR WASH button (press Delay Start button to test Cycle Countdown display
alone). Cycle Countdown display will show "88" when REGULAR WASH button is pressed and "8h" when Delay Start
button is pressed.
To start testing, press both SCRUB WASH and DELICATE/ECONO buttons a second time. When testing has ended,
Cycle Countdown display will show a fault using codes below. If more than one fault occurs, code numbers will be added
together, (e.g./ “6” = faults 2 + 4).
0 = No faults detected 2 = Heating fault 8 = NTC (temperature sensor) fault
1 = Aqua Sensor ("Sensotronic") fault 4 = Filling fault F = Filling fault (display occurs during wash, not test)
To check for heater, high limit or flow switch problems, start testing until heating starts. Using a meter with a current coil,
measure current going into dishwasher. If current is ~ 11 A, then heater, high limit and flow switch are OK. If current stays
at ~ 1.5-2 A, then heater, high limit or flow switch are faulty.
If water level switch (f1) has failed (opened), display will show fault code "4" and unit will continually fill and drain where
testing won't be completed. If flow switch (e5) has failed (opened), display will show "0", water won't heat (to 150ºF) and
water won’t stop circulating. If NTC probe (f2/f4) has failed (opened), display will show fault code "8" immediately and
testing will end shortly after water has started circulating

My smeg dwf 64 sse blew the main fuse yesterday. The machine was up to its rise stage on program 8 then the breaker went. Every time I switch the main back on it blew. I have managed to stop it...

Your element was initially short circuit, which caused circuit breaker trip. It is now open circuit and timer will not advance because water has not reched required temperature, recommend thermostat replacement also.

hi there.....when the machine brings water in...have you cancelled the program reselect a program and checked that it is puming out..if all is ok then you need to check that the main wash pump rotates freely....if all is ok here..then i suspect you have a failed capicator on the wash motor....little white cylinderical component on top of the motor
