Question about JVC AV-27D302 27" TV

1 Answer

Blue screen tv is a JVC, 27" and 3 years old. Suddenly when I turn it on I just get a blue screen. The power comes on, my menu will come up fine, just a bit fuzzy. I was able to still use the dvd player to watch movies but now my picture is fading in and out. It goes from normal to dark and back to blue screen. It is hooked up to cable but the same cable wire does fine on another tv. I just can't get anything on this one now. I have even noticed before it got to this point that if you moved it just a nudge, waited a bit, it might then have the picture/ signal comes in. Help!!!!!

What to do when your Toshiba 55TL515U powers on, works fine for a few hours, then suddenly turns off, and then continues to click as if it is turning on and off again?

Fault at its main digital board. Short circuited component/s at it. Contact any service technician; or the authorized service center. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Pull up older posts. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ In most cases, the main board might have to be replaced. If so, a software [firmware] update too might be necessary.

You have a defective T-CON board most likely, but that is just a guess without doing the required testing.

Sounds like The main power supply regulator section circuit fault. Either it will be a separate board, or the part of main board. Check and replace damaged component/s at its main power regulator [SMPS] section circuit. Contact any service technician. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Pull up older posts. http://electro-medical.blogspot.com/
It will be best to replace the power supply regulator board as card basis rather than making "Surgery" to it; which usually will make loss for both money and time. Even though you can make it right, it will cost around an amount equal to the cost of a new board; including the cost of (spare parts + service charge) More to say, most of the spare parts to it will be difficult to get from open electronic spare part market. This is true to most of the flat panel TV power supply boards; irrespective of its brand and screen size.

I have pioneer plasma tv about 6 years old. I turned the power on, sound but no picture. Do you think it is worth fixing?

no
plasma tv units consume considerable power and the latest led units don't so for the extra cost of a new unit , there will be a power saving over the years

TV just flashes different colors

You have entered a diagnostic colour test. With the TV powered on, hold the 'Menu' & 'Enter' together, then press the power button. Problem resolved
