Question about Car Speakers & Subwoofers

1 Answer

I have a 2007 chevy trailblazer with a factory touch screen navigation and xm radio. I have contacted XM for their subscription and they have on several times tried to reset or resend the signal to my radio with no luck. I can receive the xm signal on channel 1 and 247 but that is all. They finally told me to go back to GM to get the radio checked out. Do you have any suggestions before going back to the dealer. This would not be under warrranty. papatill

All i can really suggest is let GM check it out if they want to replace it, i would look into replacing it with a upgraded after market unit to fit in its spot. probably cheaper than dealer will charge.

My volume on the xm radio band is noticeably lower than the regular fm band. Is there anyway to adjust the volume on the xm band tto make iy louder?

XM radio usually has lower volume than regular FM/AM bands. But there 'might' be an adjustment you can do with your radio, depending on your unit. Please indicate the brand and model of your radio so I can check.

I just purchased a vehicle with a Pioneer car stereo in it and I can't figure out how to get my i pod to play. The stereo is a super tuner and it says mosfet 50 w x 4 on the front. I can't find...

First, is the radio even ipod capable. If it is, there should be an additional cable that plugs directly to the ipod or iphone. Usually when you attempt to use Sirius/XM, a phone number pops up on your radio for you to call. You will probably need the part number, which will be on the back of the radio. If you are not into all that trouble, you can purchase a new one that has all the functions you want and you will have all instructions and information available. Hope this helps.

2006 GMC K1500 Sierra with factory Bose Stereo, CD6, XM and the XM quit working, not available on menu now.

Make sure your Sat. antenna is plugged in. If there is no signal it might not list as an option.

How do I install a car radio in my husbands 1994 Chevy Cheyenne?

Depends on what kind of radio your wanting to install. The factory radio that comes with it is good but if you have XM/Sirus radio, it's a pain. I installed one in my truck( same year and style) The panel thats right next to the radio to the right comes out. You can get one that fits at any dealer. Autozone has the kits for mounting. It also comes with directions. Fairly easy and takes no more than 45 min - 1 hr. Note. if done right you'll no longer have access to the stock radio. It will still be in the dash but it will no longer work.

Radio Console wireing

A decent auto repair manual for your 2003 Chevy TrailBlazer (such as Chilton's, Clymers, Haynes, etc...) with a complete wiring diagram should give you the color codes for the factory speaker wiring. You can probably find and copy the pages you need at your local Public Library too.
Good Luck.
